If socaras and lutkenhaus are next to each other in the last 100 I got Socarras all day. His kick is lethal nobody is beating him in a kick.
If you’re going to make an unserious post you could at least make it a little less obvious (smh). Lutkenhaus clearly has greater race discipline which would inevitably lead to his victory…
This race was completely underrated by the boards. Unbelievable performance, but almost suspicious. This guy would have just embarrassed high school Brazier and Sumner in this race
Tf? Both would still have destroyed him. SMH yall are idiots. He had a good race and good negative split. And he is still a long way from the national HS record. 1:47.6 and 1:46.4 are quite the margin
He ran the race in a metabolically ineffecient way, and seemed to have way more energy in the tank. You're completely wrong. He also ran Brazier's HS PR in this race
That kind of negative split front-running predicts a national record with faster people to draft off and a positive split, so if they find him a race with collegians, it should happen. Still, I think that Lutkenhaus will be the guy ending up with the national record at the end of track season, even if it means the record goes down a few times this year.
This kid is impressive! The celebrating was not necessary but that was a stunning performance. Probably ready for 1:46pt in May. UPenn has itself a helluva talent coming in next year.
Lutkenhaus and Boone, I expect, are just as fast (CL may be best of them). I hope that at least two of the three meet in a championship meet in June.

Not going to happen that way. Wouldnt be surprised if Tex stays away from hs spotlight meets and trains for US senior championships. BUT, if they do, there wont be a 100m dash to the finish and no early celebration for Florida even though he might break a record. I dont think you understand what Lutkenhaus is capable of.
I don't have any issue with it but I smell bicarb. The 800m is a different event since the middle of last summer. If I was an 800m guy I'd be bicarbing it.
The HSR is toast. Not sure who holds it at the end of the year but both Lutkenhaus and Soccaras are taking it down.
the early celebration was awkward and maybe cost a couple tenths. raises both arms somewhere between 80-100 away. immediately stops and continues running full speed.
i think he was trying to do the jakob thing where he raises the one arm to incite the crowd, but socarras does it with both arms which looked a bit more odd.

Impressive going 55.01/52.66 with a celebration with 80m to go
I just watched the race again. A couple points:
1) I dont think he was celebrating with 80 m to go. He looked back and saw the field gapped bigly, then waved his arms (once only) to get the crowd going. Then he just ran in, crossing himself at the finish.
2) As far as racing goes, he ran a friggin perfect race. He took the lead right away, controlled the pace, stayed in lane one and out of trouble/traffic the entire way and won going away and feeling strong. No pacing lights, no record attempt, just pure racing. What is the problem?

I agree. He looked fresh as a daisy immediately after crossing the finish line. Rarely do you see a HS kid PR in the 800 and look that energized.
I don’t really understand what you mean by “extra special help”?
Steroids.
Lol, at Belen? They are just coached really well and hard there. They train more like a college program than a traditional average high school program, which is why you don't see the Belen kids significantly improve much once in college. Very high mileage and they race a lot, but they are a tremendous program and hands down the top program in Florida history.

I was talking about the removed post. They said that he had some extra special help and I was explaining what they meant. I personally do not believe he is doping.
IF he and Lukenhaus are in the same race, Im afraid he will break the record but be VERY humbled. There is no stopping this Texas kid. Face it. They need each other but the inevitable result will be Texas over Florida. He has the tools and is untapped.
I may agree with this, but will not accept this Florida slander, I am now predicting Socarras will run 1:41, make the Sunshine State proud
