Furious battle for 2nd:. Great poise from Novak. Napoleon is flat out getting after it and seemingly improving by the week.

Paige takes 800 in 2:01 out of 2nd heat pretty flat splits. I am sure there is a reason she was not in heat 3?

I’ve been wondering why Hartman was withdrawn from her races. Unless she’s injured I suspect Henes is prepping her for post season stuff. This is a world championship year. Hartman is a special talent and Henes knows that.

Me too, not only Hartman but Hannah Gapes and Brooke Rauber also did not run at the Duke invit last week and wake Forest invit. The top 3 runners have only run 1 race this outdoor season at Raleigh relays. Hannah and Brooke do not have qualifiers for regionals yet. And Hartman only has a 10k qualifier. Suspect all 3 will get the 5k qualifier at ACC's.

Langon beats Hansen comfortably, he really is that next level guy now.

It was a bit breezy in the runners face on the far side of the track until sometime during the 1500s and became real nice for the 5000s

They are all entered in the 5000 at Penn Relays next week, and Hartman, Gapes, Bush, Putman are entered in 4x1500

I see Hartman bringing down both the 5 & 10 NCAA records by the time she is done at NC State. She’s an aerobic beast. That said, Hedengren (sp?) is just after her and will get the 5 record.
