PS. In my 20s, I remember talking to a top female runner at the local track. We were talking about the latest fiascos from the previous weekend party. She said, "I don't get why you runner guys all try to 'act like studs.' Embrace your nerdiness. Intelligence is so sexy."
Something along those lines. I swear to you it's true.
Intelligence is sexy but not much of it is found here.
Rojo leaving out that her next line was "It's just that I see you as a really good friend and I'd never want to ruin that. You'll make some girl really happy one day."
False. We made out but only after it was clear she really wanted to make out with Weldon. Now I can't remember if we made out before or after this convo.

You said the conversation was at the track, after the party. Unless you made out at the track, she said this after she had sobered up.
You're from Texas, so you should recognize a "bless your heart" tone when you hear it :)

We know you guys did things a coach shouldn’t while at Cornell
The unfortunate runner stereotypes are further perpetuated by this thread! Gangly, overly serious and sensitive, obsessive, Type A, overestimate their sexual attractiveness and intelligence, honestly believe themselves a superior species, easily butt hurt, higher likelihood of neurodivergence, and the retired ones are all overweight and still carrying huge chips on their shoulders.
After 40 years in and around this sport, I am developing more respect for mid pack runners and power walkers as they seem more balanced and grounded in reality.

A volunteer moderator deleted this thread. I thought the OP was funny. I have restored it.
The only issue is it looks like you posted the wrong picture. We recently hired one of the Big 4 consulting firms to do an extensive analysis of our web traffic. This is what they determined is the #1 demo on LRC:

And yet, that same night, that top runner girl went to the church formal and she and the football player made raspberries and danced to Fleetwood Mac with all their friends

FIFY
It has been proven that extreme sports tend to attract people with suppressed gay tendency's (running, cycleing, bodybuilding, etc)
It's not the website that sucks, it's a lot of the people on here.
It's the same in the outside world. I am sick to death of most people.
Look at the 20 year old threads on here. They have better content and are more civilized.
There were way more threads about running back then. Plus the titles weren't entire sentences that summarised the thread either with a post body that says "title".
