They’ve been together for a long time. This proposal is clearly a happy day for them both. Whatever your personal bias is toward either of them - this is just a happy day. Just let it be that. It’s nice to see people being happy. Congratulations to them both.

this engagement brought to you by a warm oversized champion swea
Happy for them and this will certainly come across as being petty, but Allie is not very good at being a sponsored athlete. Her post about his on her Insta has over 40K likes and the photo of her is in a Champion sweatshirt. Her sister and friends were there so it's not like it was completely spontaneous, even the sister (Taylor) was wearing Oiselle. I don't know what her contract states, but this would piss me off if I was Oiselle. It's not like Allie is a traditionalist and opposed to using her life experiences for promotional gain, this was a slam dunk and she bricked it!
I agree with you that someone who is better at pimping their primary sponsor, would’ve been wearing their sponsor’s clothing.
On the other hand, Allie seems to maintain a strong “brand”, in and of herself. Being the girl who wears Spence’s Wilton Track sweatshirt when she wants to be warm, is totally endearing. Allie gives people the impression that she is pretty much the same person when the cameras aren’t rolling. She would be a fun neighbor, or a fun sister-in-law.
I am no great fan of Allie’s primary sponsor (i think she is too good for them), so it delights me to see that her engagement pics are free of corporate sponsorship.
Not really sure how I feel about this. I've been a hater ever since my buddy got in a fight with him after a league meet in Connecticut around 10 years ago.
He slumped my homie right in front me. It was a fair fight but watching a lil 5'7 guy knockout a 6 foot 2 chad was pretty humiliating when the chad is one of your best friends. I don't think he's a bad dude or anything, but I'm still sore about it. My buddy and I have never talked about it to this day.

It’s pretty clear from this post that your buddy was in no way a ‘Chad.’ Props to Spenny aka ‘the KO Kid.’

Well, they didn't have a problem with inserting a lengthy commercial for Coros in their latest post talking about their engagement and were quick to point out that they were both wearing Coros watches during the popping of the question, all while Allie still wears the Champion sweatshirt. So, we know it's not that they would not use the opportunity to use this as a promotion for their sponsor, I just don't understand why Oiselle didn't get the same treatment She could not have even put on a Oiselle sweatshirt afterwards to make htis video? I'm quite sure that Oiselle is paying her more that Coros is. Again, not trying to be a hater, I just think the optics are pretty bad.
