Just to chime in, I sewed numerous ski jumping suits for the Sochi Olympics. There are so many intricate rules and tiny details about how the suits fit and are designed. Each one was custom-fitted for each athlete, with small tweaks made to stay within the rules while maximizing flight potential. The rules are constantly changing, and teams are always looking for ways to optimize performance. Each skier had multiple suits, and I think a lot of it was a mix of superstition and athletes seeking that extra bit of confidence as they fly down the ramp and take off.

If you can already run a sub 17 minute 5k before being "treated", you don't have asthma that needs medical intervention.

Jumpers, like middle distance and distance runners, are obsessed about their weight.As a group, they were so unhealthy the FIS created a BMI rule. Still, it's very low and you won't see a jumper crushing a greasy pork offal burrito at the local shady mexican food truck.

The suits are regulated too, can't have a BASE jumping squirrel suit after all. They all use the same fabric and are indeed tailored. Certainly teams push the limits. It's not epo that "everyone " is taking, but it is cheating. It's not bringing 100 inhalers per athlete to Worlds, which I would call doping, or claiming your massage therapist was using 6 tubes of a of steroid cream on his finger cut...

It's made the front page of AP News now. Both DQed athletes are Olympic champions. Article explains how the suits are approved and RFID chipped after which they cannot be manipulated, but fabric was added that increased the surface area of the suits afterwards in the crotch. Norway was caught by video from a whistleblower because you couldn't see the manipulation until the crotch seams were disassembled.

No way rojo, this is a misleading story. This is disinformation and shouldn't be shared. If they were cheating why would they admit it? It's the same as the Palestinian terrorists denying that they're using human shields. Why would they admit that's what they're doing??
