Fom a pure running performance perspective, isn't this kind of an odd time of year to get married? It seems that most pro runners get married in the fall to time it with their off-season or early base period. With all love and respect for her personal life, might this indicate something about her commitment to rebounding from last year's disappointment?
Happy for both Brandon and Athing finding their paths.
"Loony bird" is probably what all of us would be after being in the Olympic/public spotlight as long as she has. Sheesh, no one can catch a break around here.
This is a running site, and people are interested in her primarily as an athlete. They have differing opinions. OK.
This thread is about her wedding. My view is that she and her husband deserve to be happy together, and I expect that their loved ones are overjoyed for them.
And the boards welcome a (gasp! Do I dare speak the evil name?) diversity of opinions in the name of free speech, and I see value in that principle, but I see greater value in wishing (as best I can tell) good people happiness than I do in seizing on their wedding day as the opportunity to be negative.
