We changed the title of this thread to make it more accurate and to remove a typo. It was initially titled, "Leading SEC distance runner has it up and coming YouTube channel how would you rate this"
Crazy how this man is catching strays over just posting on his training and lifestyle. People out here saying he’s gonna get cut over being a YouTuber are being ridiculous. How is this any different from other college running YouTubers (Young twins, Brock Kelly, Charles Hicks back in the day)? They all made it work and are successful in their own rights. I normally don’t post on crap like this when I scroll through the forum but this guy did nothing except make videos to get dogged on for

He won’t be cut for being a YouTuber - he’ll be cut for being a 8:30 runner. Moran

It's because of how he presented it. If he posted something like "hey guys I run for LSU and I have a youtube channel, check it out if want" no one would be flaming him. Maybe 1 or 2 posters because it's Letsrun, but the overall vibe would be very different.
We can all use google, so if you claim to be a "leading SEC runner" and then turn out to be 1min slower in the 3k and ~20sec slower in the mile compared to the best guys in your conference, you might catch some grief. When Hicks posts a video "day in the life of a national champion" no one gives him crap because...he was actually a national champion:)
What I find craziest is not once this guy claims to be an “SEC leading runner” in any of his video captions. He’s not presenting it that way either in his videos. The only place I’ve seen the claim that he’s an “SEC leading runner” is on this garbage heap of a thread. Nothing wrong with what he’s doing
It is always weird that a “running” forum hates running content so much. If he had posted some “libs of TikTok” link this place would be lapping it up.
you all that are dogging on him are genuinely miserable. When did he ever claim to be "leading runner?" He presents his content in a very honest way and yall want to grab for low hanging fruit towards a college kid because SOMEBODY ELSE posted a thread of his content. You are weirdos.
I just started watching these videos with my HS sons.
The videography is well done and the insight is valuable. Couldn’t care less if he is one of the best on the team. Thats not important. Kid LOVES the sport, is in college (a top D1 no less) doing what he loves, including the videos themselves. I appreciate the insight on college life and balancing the running with class and social life.

How? I don't really care about how a 8:32 runner at LSU balances "running" and academics. I'm not saying you have to limit it to looking at how Fisher and Blanks - or even Nuguse - did it, but I'd much rather see someone like top runners at UNC, UVA, Villanova, etc balance it. Or even the life of a top runner at NAU. Not someone who's neither good nor has a huge academic workload.
Trenton does not seem to have made the cut to participate in his conference championship meet and the times just haven’t been making the mark.
But maybe Trentoniacould.
Here’s my idea: Trenton documents his process Becoming Trentonia over the next year: first bra sizing with her new teammates at Victoria’s Secret there showing their unwavering support, taking estrogen shots and getting make-up lessons from her friends, knocking several competitors off the track while making a sick move at the last 200 of a race…..and then toeing the line at the women’s 2026 NCAA 1500m final!
