Keep digging that hole Dims...all the way to the center of the earth
Seriously. It sure is an interesting hill to die on. I guarantee you that if you put it to a vote in this country it wouldn't even be close, people are against this nonsense. Sickos don't want a vote though.
It’s good that this issue ( and some others) are bringing the left out from underneath their rocks.
The left is in favor of violence against women. They are in favor through their crime policies of violence against law abiding citizens.
The left is against anything which builds civilized society.
Violence against women, against law abiding citizens, personal responsibility , hard work and being for open borders, victimized citizens, Tostitos inside a glass case and cashless bail.
A democrat. A liberal
Did you pass through a mirror tht reversed everything? Just that first thing stopped me: "violence against women" which side of the mirror were you on when Donald Trump in full feather and voice on national tv advised to do something to women which I am not even allowed to say here...to control them.?! Just for openers..

This bill defines sex by "reproductive organs at birth."
Republicans continue to deny that intersex people exist.
Nobody anywhere denies they exist. People who support the idea that sex/gender is just whatever you say it is hide behind intersex people as human shields. If anything, the two issues are quite separate and pretending that intersex/DSD people make common-sense sex/gender segregation in sports impossible is dishonest. Our sport, at least, has made a decision on DSD athletes. They cannot compete in events between 400 and 3000 inclusive. I don’t know if that’s the best solution or not but the point is, the issue is covered and has been dealt with. I’m not sure how you get from “a very small number of people have odd ambiguous genitals as a result of uncommon chromosomal combinations” to “welp, that means we have to throw up our hands and let boys beat up girls, etc. What are we to do?!? It’s a total mystery!”
Of course, what people like you never address is the obvious follow-up: if you can just identify as a girl and thus become eligible for girls sports… why do we need separate boys and girls categories at all? This is the part that really gets me. People tell me gender isn’t binary, that the binary idea is artificial. Then they keep supporting binary categories of competition, they just want to open the gates a tad so that mentally ill boys can switch competitions when they want to. Retain the binary, just make it a little more wobbly than it was, in a way that by complete coincidence hinders the prospects of girls and rarely or never impacts boys. Oh, but what even is a “girl” anyway, since we deny any and all attempts to set a definition for words like that. Make that make sense.

Incorrect. Not all people with DSD are the same under World Athletics policy. There are different restrictions on people with different kinds of DSD and those are all written in their policy.
As long as the GOP insists on defining sex by "reproductive organs at birth" there will be people who are unfairly denied their right to compete because the simple brains of M@G@ loyalists cannot process the complexity of human sex.

This is what we call "false dichotomy."
You are presenting the issue as a binary choice of either (a) allowing anyone to compete as a girl by simply declaring female identity, and (b) restricting girls' sports to only people who were born with ovaries, because you think most people don't support (a). But not supporting (a) is not the same as supporting (b).
You are setting up an easy strawman to take down because you don't want other people to accept that human sex is not simple.
Cruelty is not a sign of toughness and empathy is not a sign of weakness.
It was a REPUBLICAN bill. Indeed, there are more important things to focus on.
There were other things more important when the Dems spent a FOUR YEARS shoving this crap in everyones faces. No one asked for this crapola.
The Dems also spent a lot of time getting the USA out of a grossly mismanaged pandemic, and rebuilding the economy that became the envy of the world.
The bill isn't thought through, and seems to be more for political benefit than anything else. How do you enforce this bill purportedly designed to protect women? Will cisgender women be routinely asked to drop their drawers for detailed inspection, as the price of admission? In Florida, a similar bill was passed, and this paved the way for cisgender girls to become victims of allegations of being male, from other parents during matches, and the associated vitriol, simply because of the way the girls looked.
There are problems to be addressed, but I can't help but think the real motive here is to justify hating a group of people that the far right cannot understand.
If Republicans really cared about women, many more Americans are asking to restore nationwide basic health care, than are asking for permission to hate LBGTQ+ persons.
Are they trying to lose the next election? This is ridiculous. Nobody with two brain cells to rub together would think it's a fair fight for trans women to compete in women's sport. That includes most of the gay community, incidentally. I'm a lesbian. This is stupid.
Please spell out exactly why and how a law predicated on the scientific proposition that people with DSDs all have a sex just like everyone else of our species does - and the sex of people with DSDs like everyone else’s sex can be ascertained based on their reproductive biology and genetics at birth - amounts to denying that people with DSDs exist.
Good. Everyone should compete as their gender identity, not their born sex.
If women can't compete it's their fault for not working harder because there is no real difference between the sexes. That is what we learned in corporate America.

Can you remind us who was in the White House when Cece Telfer won the NCAA title in 2019? Was it some Democrat?
CeCe Telfer was able to win a women's NCAA national championship in 2019 because in April 2010 the NCAA adopted a policy allowing males like Telfer to compete in women's NCAA sports. Barack Obama was POTUS at the time, and Joe Biden was VPOTUS.
This is the text of the policy the NCAA adopted in 2010 that opened up women's NCAA sports to male athletes like Telfer, June Eastwood, Lia Thomas, Sadie Schreiner and others:
2010 NCAA Policy on Transgender Student-Athlete Participation
The following policies clarify participation of trans student-athletes* undergoing hormonal treatment for gender transition:
1. A trans male (FTM) student-athlete who has received a medical exception for treatment with testosterone for diagnosed gender dysphoria for purposes of NCAA competition may compete on a men’s team, but is no longer eligible to compete on a women’s team without changing that team status to a mixed team.
2. A trans female (MTF) student-athlete being treated with testosterone suppression medication for gender dysphoria for the purposes of NCAA competition may continue to compete on a men’s team but may not compete on a women’s team without changing it to a mixed team status until completing one calendar year of testosterone suppression treatment.
Trans student-athletes who are not taking hormone treatment related to gender transition may participate in sex-separated sports activities in accordance with their sex assigned at birth. • A trans male (FTM) student-athlete who is not taking testosterone related to gender transition may participate on a men’s or women’s team. • A trans female (MTF) student-athlete who is not taking hormone treatments related to gender transition may not compete on a women’s team.
*This policy may also apply to student-athletes who identify as non-binary. The same policy requirements apply to student-athletes who identify as non-binary and wish to compete on a men’s or women’s team.
The NCAA was several years ahead of the Obama-Biden administration when it came to pushing gender identity ideology, particularly in US education, in a forceful, overt way.
But throughout the time the that NCAA had the above policy in place, the Obama-Biden administration - particularly during its second term - and later the Biden-Harris adminstration had both given very strong signals that if the NCAA's 2010 "trans inclusion" policy were challenged on the grounds that it was unfair to the female students who were forced to compete in women's NCAA sports against males like Telfer and Thomas, the federal executive branch under Obama-Biden and Biden-Harris would argue that under the novel and highly contested re-interpretation of Title IX that Obama and Biden introduced, Title IX guarantees "gender identity" rights to trans-identified male students who want into women's and girls' sports that always trump the sex-based rights of female students to fairness and equal opportunity in education that Title IX was originally intended to establish and protect.
