Do you think a sub elite dude who is living off of Daddy is hard up for money? Hundreds of guys like this exist in the US.
how is he living off Daddy? I know the guy, he was waiting tables at night after practice.
you're better off letting it go. There is an entire subsection of people on this site who have made it their entire personality to troll and hate on a handful of athletes on an anonymous internet message board.
This is very suspicious. His PR at Fordham was 1:54, graduating in 2023. He doesn't race for 2 years then opens up with 1:49, a month later he runs 1:46.
Number 1 - how is he still eligible?
Number 2 - how does he drop 8 seconds immediately after extended time off, when most races at Fordham were 1:56-1:59?

His PB out of HS was 1:57.62
Stay in school kids
I wonder what he can do for the 1000m. He was a good XC runner in HS, so I assume that he would not totally break down in that last 200m.
Stay in school? He was stuck as a slow nobody while in school. He then finds a "magical" training group and pops back into school and runs 1:46???? Why did NC State pick him up? How is he eligible? What is taking? This is literally the most suspicious performance of any American this year.

Did he race at all between Jan 20, 2023 (when he ran the mile in 4:27) and Jan 31, 2025?

What if he ends up being the most talented of the Tuohys?

What is ‘who’ taking? Are we referring to the one in the middle?:

Yes he ran at least 4 800's in 2024 (4 made it to his WA page) while training with Empire Elite. 1:51.8, 1:49.5, 1:48.1, 1:54.1.
Truth is we have no idea what the jump came from. I've known many D1 runners who stagnated in college for a variety of reasons. Liked to party, didn't fuel properly, burnt out and were just going through the motions at practice. Could be any reason under the sun.

If he was competing with a pro group for 2 years after graduating college that should have counted against his eligibility as outside competition. This would be his 7th year.
His eligibility is equally as suspicious as his sudden improvement.
Guy ran like 1:55 and 4:19 in high school in 2018. Did 5 years (!!!) at Marist and only ran 1:54 and 2:30. Started training with Empire Elite the last couple years, got down to 1:48, guess he's doing grad school at NC State? Ridiculous result, I have no idea what to think of it to be honest but good for him I guess.
I believe Guy ran during undergrad at Fordham.
His 1:48 should hold up as the all time family record.
Maybe, if she is nice to him, he will share some training secrets with his sister on improving 400/800 speed.

As long as it’s not one of those 2 year mission kids like Clinger stealing spots/accolades from younger athletes who are of age, it’s all good in my book.
