She may have committed suicide first. GH’s health was reported as slipping very fast. An old guy like that can become angry, abusive, and extremely hard to take care of. Having experienced it, it is an impossible situation that requires help from professionals.
They often had workers outside and he could have fallen on his way out to get help after he found her. At 95, he may no longer have been able to get up.

No sign of forced entry doesn’t preclude murder. If it was a murder, it could have been done by someone the victims know. Or it could have been done by someone knocking at the door if it was answered by the victims.
