For this to happen Hocker would have to leave the coach who coached him to an Olympic win. As it stands now, he's not going to do Fisher's workouts and Fisher isn't going to do Hocker's workouts.

Hocker and Fisher would be a good fit for training if they are natural mates.
Hockers territory is the 1500 for the next two years and Fisher's is 5k.
And both guys are looking for a bit of what the other has, Grant would like a 331 1500, and Hocker 124x 5k.
so the training matches.
Teare demonstrated he's world class in the last 5K and he's fighting over the same bone as Fisher. so that's not a fit you want.
Teare and Hocker look like they have a good thing going, but some complementary work with a Fisher, at altitude, and something fresh, why not?
Why doesn't he keep training with this guy? They've both had unreal seasons.
I recall in an interview Scannell saying they very rarely do anything like 200's or 400's. Not sure how much that would mesh with Hocker
He said right here on this board that they VERY rarely do anything 400 meters or longer AT MILE PACE -10% (or faster). But Grant said that they do plenty of faster shorter stuff.
Scannell said that Grant did 4 fast quarters over his entire high school career, and the biggest change recently is to do less fast stuff and more threshold.
The window is Feb 25, 2024 to Aug 2025. 24 athletes have run sub 27 in this time, including Fisher. Eight ran it at the Olymoics, seven at a June meet in Spain, five at Hayward Field at Pre and four at the Ten last year. Fisher, Kincaid, and Nico are in there.
Grant probably has certain workouts he likes to go at certain times of the year. They probably are not the same types of workouts Hocker likes to do. Grant is looking for a guy to do what he's already doing. One of them will have to change what they're doing, and I don't think either of them wants to do that. Maybe they can occasionally overlap but I doubt very frequently. They're training for different races anyway. Grant 5k/10k which would be a lot more longer reps at 60-64 seconds per 400, Hocker in the 1500 and probably a lot of faster shorter things at like 27/28 seconds per 200m. Their threshold stuff is more similar, but Grant's threshold pace is almost certainly a little faster than Hocker's.
I did hear he is running The Ten but not sure why. Also wasn’t it already reported that Blanks is going to park city this summer. Seems like a perfect fit for both.
