I'd lean Kerr as far as pure talent goes, but Wightman probably has slightly better top-end speed due to his 800m ability. Wightman's been a victim of injuries too in that he's had few opportunities to race top competition at peak fitness the past couple years.
Yes, and surely Jakob isn't going to deploy the same tactics yet again, so there's a chance it might be a bit slower this year. Also, Jakob was injured last winter, so he had a remarkable season given that. Laros was even more injured, even into the outdoor season, so he had an even more remarkable season and he'd be improving a lot just with his age on top of that.
In the 800m, the good news is that Max Burgin appears to be enjoying a full winter's training for the first time since he was a kid. This is a guy who can run 1:43 off of 25 MPW including easy runs and 3 or 4 races a year, and he's still only 22.
Of course, a lot depends upon how soon they can restore testing in Kenya.
800m : 1. Wanyonyi 2. Burgin 3. Sedjati
1500m : 1. Jakob 2. Laros 3. Kerr or Wightman or Hocker

Agreed. 800 depends on how scared Sedjati is though. If he has another 2024 type season he’ll run 1:39
That's actually crazy. I'd argue Nuguse has more right to the graphic than Jakob. I mean not even including one of this years medalists? Absolutely bizarre.

Sedjati I have as getting kicked out
Wanyonyi for some reason I believe in his talent, though probably on PEDS
Burgin isn't the top PED suspect due to his affiliation and testing zone (he's tested)
Nuguse lost to Kerr in the OG final by 0.01 seconds.
And Hocker while he "got lucky", for the free lane, getting in a free lane does not do any running for you.
Talent wise, how is Kerr the best? with his 145 800? Kerr know how to peak, and is surely top 4 in the world, but he's got his work cut out, as the competition has been doing nothing but improving.
Regarding the international rankings out of the UK, that is worse than the bottom level trolls here. hence ignore.

There aren’t stats for Algeria but the average Kenyan was tested 9 times OOC and 3.4 times in competition = 12.4 tests. GB 3.6 and 1.2 = 4.8 in comparison.
Burgin also competed in one major competition (UK Champs) before Paris, while Wanyonyi competed in 4 major competitions and set a world roads record in another (so 5 testing events). So the discrepancy might be greater than the team averages. It’s likely Burgin wasn’t on the AIU RTP list either given he was an unranked athlete for much of 2024. The AIU accounted for 1/3 of Team GBs OOC tests. I don’t believe Burgin is a doped but I also strongly doubt he was tested more than two or three times in the 12 months before Paris. And it very well may have been once.

“Free lane”? It was more than that. Hocker had to almost stop after Jakob moved to block him while Kerr had a wide open run down the straight. Hocker absolutely smoked Kerr over the last 50 meters, crushed him. Yeah, a free lane won’t do the running for you but Kerr had a clear shot and was run down, with Nuguse just missing pushing Kerr to bronze. Kerr was not impeded - except in the minds of Brits who were crushed when their big-mouthed lad had his arse handed to him.

The graphic is titled "3 Kings," as in three men who have won global 1,500 titles. Nuguse is amazing, but he has not done that.
PS. Not sure how much stock we should put into the experts as 3 of them pick Cheptegei in the 10,000 and we think he's not doing the 10,000 at Worlds.
AWESOME 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s the way to do it Rojo! Those guys know what’s up 😆😆!!
Shocker deserves the snub for performing too obviously out of natural character in Paris. God knows what he was fuelled by. I certainly don’t ever want to know and so does athletics weekly! Even they know that somethings up with Shocker!
Or they probably took a leaf from my posts and learnt what notoriety Shocker is!

Hey smarty pants, I think you just dropped your pants in full view! Kerr was very obviously impeded by illegal assistance that Shocker received on race day. You should know what the heck I’m talking about. No I’m not talking about a caffeine shot!
Kerr thus had his arse illegally handed to him by Shocker and thus shouldn’t also count as a legit victory.
Kerr would never have been run down by nobody on planet earth save unfair practices and lack of sportsmanship on the part of his closest competitors namely Nuguse and Shocker.
In my non delusional world, the 2024 Paris 1500m winner is Josh Kerr!! 👏👏👏🌺💐🌻
Congrats Kerr, Britain is beseeched and bedevilled by you!!

This is agenda pushing, no attempt in the slightest to actually make a prediction.
Jakob, Hocker, Kerr/Yared seems like the best prediction imo.
And what agenda is what? A European agenda you mean? That’s because Nuguse and Shocker brought this upon themselves, they snubbed themselves by making it way too obvious what really went on at Paris Olympic 1500m final. Now even athletics weekly are indifferent and picked mostly the 2 best clean milers of the modern generation in Kerr and Jakob which I agree.
Heck I don’t mind if they picked Jakob to win but I care that they don’t pick Shocker and Nuguse to win. Americans weren’t supposed to be that great at the mile compared to Mother Britain and the Moroccan Kingdom. Even Kenya has fell off the 1500m pedestal so how did America ever ascend it and leapfrog Kenya in space and time?

Senor Thoughtsleader, conoces mi background en fisica no? I do physics and I’m gonna give you a physics perfect answer.
The order of magnitude of 12.4 is 1 and for 4.8 is zero’! Yes you heard that right, in the world of Physics, both Wanyonyi and Burgin really did just 1 and zero tests respectively in the past year and AIU is physics-dumb to believe they did a lot of tests on anybody in the past year!
In comparison, there are at least an order of magnitude of 10 friggin atoms and molecules that make up the human body for the meagre amount of antidoping tests done.
Do the math for testing effectiveness if you study math:
for wanyonyi 1/(10^10/10^1 )= 1/10^9 😆😆
for burgin 1/(10^10/10^0) = 1/10^10 😆😆
Do you need me to interpret for you the calculated results for test effectiveness senor?
Well I’m saying that compared to the amount of space and time in a human body, the amount of space and time samples or samplings taken via antidoping tests on a human being is honestly not only laughable but you know simply delusional and schizophrenic! Yes you heard that right, from true physics standpoint, WADA, USADA, AIU, you name it, they have all been pawned and out of their minds. They ain’t got no clue what the heck they are thinking or doing. They thought they were doing ‘better’ and ‘advanced’ but I pawned them all 🫣🫣🫣. They know nothing! The true standard for perfection relatively to theirs is still the difference in order of magnitude of 9 and 10 which is hopelessly impossible to match! Only God can match that!
If I ran this world, God willing with my skills and knowledge, it will probably be heaven on earth 🌎!

Senor Coevett, why are you depriving the motherland Britain of gold in the form of Kerr when you pick Jakob as the winner? You start off mentioning Kerr is talented and later relegated him to out of the medals or is it because of his age? If that’s the case then yes you have a point there. Kerr is 27 and it’s hard to see him still be good at 1500m however with the 3:44 fifth Avenue mile he did just a few months ago has pushed back those doubts about age just a bit longer isn’t it Coevett? ❤️🤗
I think Kerr can at least get the mile track WR outdoor and indoor! At least 3:42 and 3:45! I’m praying hard on my knees for Gods mercy amen!

all of which is non speculative, as we're talking about a half to one second improvement.
Kerr, will peak and maybe win a race or second, but that kind of activity does not qualify for a top ranking....
Your post is bias which is encouraged and good but the problem is you don’t know where to stress the bias and stressed it in all the wrong places or space-time intervals!!
What is this?! Learn from me now.
how does Jakob go 3:26 flat plus or minus when he only recorded one 3:26 high race all year last year? When El G set his 3:26 WR he had at least recorded 1 or even 2 more 3:26 the same season or the season after in close order to cement that 3:26 as rock solid and firm! But Jakob only had one 3:26 high and had so many chances in diamond league last year after Paris to run wild with multiple 3:26s and cement that number firmly in his electric field but he didn’t because he couldn’t. His white body is not cut for that level as El G yet, he can’t bear 3:26s as easily as El G despite having a ton of rightly illegal aids. You have got it very wrong here. Jakob may never run another 3:26 in his life too in 2025.
Nuguse? Need I shunt more this bogey trap? Thou shall recognise what’s made of finer material and what’s fake get it? Nuguse is the latter.

Highly biased picks (slight Euro, major Brit bias). Hocker probably deserves more respect…
- Only 1 picks Fisher to medal in 10,000
-3 pick Georgia Bell to medal, Welteji gets one lone vote
-All 4 pick Keely for gold (she is the favorite but still)
-3 pick Matt Hudson-Smith for gold, Quincy Hall doesnt even get podium for 1 writer
-3 pick Emile Cairess to get bronze
This is the big takeaway: huge British bias from the British publication.
And your point senor John? Don’t we have enough of Americanos Thoughtsleader and you always dominating the top 3 spots for best Commenter for the past decade and more?!
My honest suggestion, set up a best commenter award for non-americano and I’m sure to monopolise that one if it’s not rigged again!!
As for now let’s just enjoy the attention Kerr is getting as if we ourselves are being attended to si?
