Hoo, boy. I don't know if D1 is for you, man. Daily attendance is like the absolute bare minimum for any serious team.

That is quite literally his job. He is a coach. He coaches.

If there are other commitments and they're not being communicated, he is absolutely in the right to be upset about it. Its on you and your teammates to communicate that stuff. But also, other commitments? At 6:30-8am? What other commitments? You're on a D1 team, act like it. Your sport is your commitment.
It amazes me that there are kids with this kind of mentality at the D1 level. In case you're not aware, the NCAA is in the process of tightening belts and instituting roster caps in the next year or two. You are just not going to make the cut when that happens. There are a million kids in line waiting for your spot, and they don't mind your coach's "micromanaging" and "demands"...
