So he’s in shape to do 1 x mile in 5:00, 10 x 1k in 2:44 off 2:00 and a mile in 5:00 after. Idk what that means in terms of his performance. We’ll find out in Houston. He had three other guys that did the workout with him. No posts about them? They’re in shape, too.
Okay so they’re in shape too. And? We actually don’t know what their average splits were vs Klecker’s
Yes we do. Morgan and Morgan are both on Strava. They did the whole workout with Klecker.
Some missing context from this thread is that Morgan Pearson also did the workout with Klecker and the On guys.
This is the same Morgan Pearson who ran at CU and who has been mixing it up with pro runners as a professional triathlete ((61:08 half at Valencia the week after WTS triathlon grand final in Spain)).
If you check the strava file, Morgan's splits were effectively identical (5:01; 2:44; 2:45; 2:45; 2:44; 2:45; 2:44; 2:46; 2:46; 2:46; 2:42; 5:03) to Joe's (5:01; 2:46; 2:44; 2:45; 2:43; 2:44; 2:43; 2:46; 2:45; 2:45; 2:42; 5:03) w/ only a four second total time difference.
On top of this, Morgan P has publicly talked about how he was doing a heavy running focused block to get prepared for Houston. By no means am I saying it would happen, but it would be kind of funny if Morgan got the AR as a triathlete.
