Bro stopped responding after Meyers. I think I saw something on Meyers' own strava himself with just a picture of a pair of BYU shorts in an activity. But it doesn't mean he's committing to BYU just that he does have interest in US uni potentially. Is it him?
P.S. Gout Gout is not dominating any distance events 😂

If it's Gout Gout, he has been sponsored by Adidas for years. That doesn't exactly fall under NIL since he hasn't been at an American university yet. Also, pretty sure you can't make millions in sponsorship money/appearance fees/prize money for the last couple of years and maintain all eligibility for college in the U.S.

Nah he is clearly meant for the 10k. He can go sub 26 if he gets some years of volume.

Lol, have him go on a 10 year mission while running lots of volume and training hard and he comes into the NCAA in WORLD RECORD SHAPE!!!
I would love it if Biniam Mehary or Cam Myers came over. Would love to see Myers in the Washington group of milers; it sounds similar to his current training, and would be extremely sad to see him go to Jerry in Oregon.
If Mehary joined the NCAA and destroyed everyone for four (to eight, a la Clinger) years that would be a blast too. Drop the NCAA records down to 12:3x and 26:2x.
why would someone ever step down to run in the ncaa? we know you can get the education and run pro. the ncaa is supposed to be a battle royale for mortals where a handful rise to the top. this would be like when that kid who won his battle royale comes back to fight in the next one because he likes the hunt. great movie by the way.
Word on the track is that an unnamed freshman phenom is entering the NCAA scene and expected to dominate all distance events. To be the title favorite in everything. Keep an eye out—this could be the year we witness history in the making. The NCAA just got a whole lot more exciting. 💥A TITAN is coming to the NCAA. Overall favorite for every event.
Obviously he's good but I'd hardly say he would be expected to dominate ALL distance events. He'd barely be the favorite in the 1500. UNC just had 2 guys run 16 seconds faster than his PR in the 3K. Either OP is bloviating and overstating his status or its not Myers. Or OP is just lying entirely, which is the most likely scenario
He is lying. There are no athletes in the world that are coming to the United States for a college education that would be the favorite in every distance event or sprint event. The NCAA is now a breeding ground for top level Olympic talent across the board. If you disagree allow me to point my finger to Graham Blanks, Parker Wolfe, Yaseen Abdalla, and many other world class level athletes that have the advantage over athletes completing uprooting their lives to come compete in the NCAA. The NCAA is no longer an amateur league.
4:05 is not equal to 4:02 lmao what are you talking about?
In all seriousness I could see that happening, but I would also love to see Cam Meyers land at UW and train with Nathan Green - two young 3:32/3:33 guys training together aint no joke. Plus Waskom (and Sam Prakel for that matter), as far as I know, still trains with them too.

Unless it's Phoebe Gill, there is zero chance of a freshman phenom is dominating any distance events. Strand, Wolfe, Abdallah, Martin, Samuel and co aint got nothing to worry about here lol. If Cam Meyers enters the NCAA, I can't say he'd be a mile/1500 favorite at all - Adam Spencer from Wisconsin and Nathan Green from Washington have run 3:31/3:32 and I'm sure Strand, Murphy and Martin can all get there too. And Sahlman!

Drop a name, or you're just trolling here.
Maybe we have actual agents getting engaged. In Euro soccer you see them inventing transfer stories all the time to try and create action and raise valuations.
It’s annoying for fans, but it probably wouldn’t be a bad thing for the sport if agents find a way to create increased valuations for distance runners. X school better step up its NIL spend because Y school is going to bring in a star.
