I'm not normally one for circus acts such as this, and I don't give a rat's ass about Jake Paul. He clearly is NOT a "good" boxer, or he'd be fighting real boxers his own age. I didn't care about any of his other fights, and I'm not generally impressed with people who become "famous" due to their outrageous YouTube activity.

I don't even have a heavy favorite here. I suppose I want Tyson to win, but not for any other reason than I watched Tyson with awe when he was in his prime, he's the same age as me, and I think he has gotten his life together after he was a real sh!tshow for a while there.

The main reason I'm interested is to see if a 58 year old former GREAT boxer can compete with a guy 30 years younger. I know that normally that can't happen, but Mike Tyson is not a normal person.

So, I'm interested. My only flaw in life.

I told my wife last night, I might have some friends over for the Tyson fight this Friday... unless I don't watch it because I'm morally opposed to the idea in the first place.

Mike was unstoppable from '85 to '88. He was champ starting in '86. He had maybe 18 to 24 months where he may have been the greatest boxer ever. Then he lost the belt, had a few comeback fights and went to prison. It was a spiral after that.

It doesn't make sense for it to be a real fight since Tyson is nearly 60 years old and Jake Paul is a young man. Plus, if you've watched enough boxing and combat sports it is quite easy to tell how fake his fights are, they are basically sparring matches with predetermined winners. I've only ever even watched a few of his fights and it is painfully obvious. Not to mention the fact if he was a legit and watned to be a real fighter and not just make a ton of money cosplaying as a boxer he would just enter into normal fights at wherever he is ranked against the real pros. Not these fake celebrity fights.

Why would Paul lose to Tommy Fury if it's all scripted? If he was just trying to create fake hype to get bigger paydays he wouldn't lose the fight he's had with the only guy who could even be argued is a legitimate boxer.

Whatever the plan is I don't think you can control a Mike Tyson you've just punched in the face.

In my mind there's only 2 ways this fight can possibly go. Either Tyson knocks out Paul very early or Paul wins a very boring decision by running from Tyson until he gasses out and then finds out he doesn't have the punching power to hurt Tyson let alone knock him out.
