Unbelievable!...I never thought this country would elect a convicted felon as our President.😞
I'm speechless.
I'm devastated.
Is there any hope for the morals of this country?
Let’s add some context to this.
We elected a felon and someone who has been held civilly liable for SA over who the democrats could produce for a candidate.
Biden curb stomped Trump, Trump being able to win this election entirely proves it wasn’t stolen that time. People clearly wanted something different than Trump. This will be Trumps first time winning the popular vote.
The powers at be chose the unpopular vice president of an increasingly unpopular president as their candidate. I can’t find a single person who I consider sensible who thinks either side has produced a “good” candidate. Centrists/Unaffiliated voters (who are the people who win elections) vote on whichever candidate they think is better. These people thought Trump was a disaster, they thought Bidens administration was even more of a disaster. What better way to freshen things up than picking the most recent disaster’s second hand man to take the reins of the Democratic party right?
I don’t know how, from the state of things it may be too late from this point on, or for the foreseeable future, but the people need a greater say in who the candidate will be. We are getting crazy and angry about candidates we didn’t even want or sign up for.
The thing we need to remember whether we are happy or upset about this election, or the next is that we have both a good short term and long term checks and balances system, Trump is gonna say and do things that piss a lot of people off these next 4 years, and if people are upset enough, they can elect someone who will reverse those things. The world is not ending just yet (hopefully). The entire conservative vs liberal thing in our system serves the purpose of allowing for progress without it getting out of hand or going in the wrong direction. As long as we don’t devolve into a complete idiocracy (which both sides need to check themselves on, there are increasingly lots of misinformed/delusional/illogical people and ideologies coming from both sides) our political system is pretty great and we should view it as a long term mechanism for people to work together and make sure we are heading in the best direction that we can as a people.
Both our last democratic/republican presidencies seem to have done more harm than good to the well being of our country, let’s see if the Donald can do better this time, and if he doesn’t, see if the next Republican or Democrat candidate sounds better.

Your post makes no sense, I have no idea what you're trying to convey? 🤔
All I know is this: The country has gone to pot by electing a convicted felon as our President! You can't make this stuff up - my head is still spinning.

Im saying it takes a crappy candidate to get beaten by a crappy candidate.
Democrats were not happy with the Biden/Harris administrarion for SO MANY reasons. Most die hard liberal/democrat people I know seemed unenthusiastic about Kamala at best, and genuinely upset about her nomination at worst. This reflects in the polls and on election night.
People were fired up about how much they disliked Trump as president so they were willing to vote for anyone to get him out of office. So they threw Grandpa on the ballot because he’s a familiar name/face and arguably had a pretty solid and respectable track record back when he had decent cognition skills. That presidency had very lukewarm at best reception from the Democrats and swing voters, which resulted in very upset republican voters. Nominating the VP of that administration was a dumb decision. If a better candidate was nominated Trump would’ve lost by a mile again.
Trump is very disliked, but the Biden/Harris administration is also very disliked.
Anyone but Trump only works if you can set up an administration that people are actually confident in.

ok, NOW you want to admit to this?
seriously, libs en masse were like "yes, kamala is brat! we love her! and walz is a real man." like a bunch of tards wtf were you thinking?
if you would have all said "this is unacceptable, we did not vote for her!" i promise you that conservatives, independents, libertarians, etc. would have all supported you in terms of demanding a proper primary

It doesn't take a "crappy candidate to be beaten by a crappy candidate". It takes a preference by voters for a fascist leader. That's what the majority have signalled they want. It is also what they will get.

Trump got elected because Biden and Harris's policies are sh!t and people are tired of paying the price for them. Who knew that out-of-control inflation, unfettered illegal immigration (which is then subsidized with taxpayer money) and geopolitical policy that brings us closer to WW3 wouldn't be popular.

These are the same people who told us that Biden was mentally fit to be president until he started losing in the polls.
