Mantz was around 13 years and 150-160 days.
Those are dated and haven’t been updated in years.
Ignore my handle I already commented in this thread
If that list is from ARRS then yes it is out of date, a kid from my town ran a road 5k in 15:23 when he was 13 and ARRS still has the record listed as 16:11 by Aidan Puffer
and yes it was a legitimate race, there were articles about it, it wasn’t just some small town event where the course was actually 3 miles, he’s one of the best XC runners in California now

I think the person you referenced is Broan Holman. Broan Holman and Salvador Wirth are both class of 2025.
Was the guy in 9th place Eric Peterson was he from the University of Oregon years before that. He's listed as 40 so it'd be like 18-20 years prior. Tia
At the time the guy missed out on an overall podium spot to a 13 year old. I wonder if he remembers that and knows who it was beating him now. Losing out on an overall podium spot to a 13 yeat old future Olympian is a totally different thing. And the 2 guys who beat him can say they beat Conner Mantz in a half marathon. Results link for anyone interested
Surprised no one mentioned yet that the course is like 700 ft net downhill. still a solid time but probably the elevation gives a 5 minute boost for a 1:20 runner.
Any half/full marathon in Utah you can just assume it's a massive downhill course. Try finding one in Utah without a massive downhill. Good luck.
Maybe. I live in Utah and if you asked a thousand random people on the street who Mantz was I would bet my next paycheck that none of them would know who he is. Even still, if you went to a Utah road race and asked, maybe 5 or so would know. I would bet it’s more in the Provo area but not much. People really don’t care about who has the half-marathon AR.
