I work at a major sports retailer here in Australia and coming into the store I immediately recognised her. She seemed quiet and well spoken and polite. I was surprised how petite she was. No other staff and no one in the store recognised her. I'm a grown man and don't do social media so no selfies etc. I just congratulated her on a great season. She said she was on a break and will start up again in a couple of weeks to prepare for the World's.

I sat next to Sifan Hassan at Pre Classic this year. Couldn’t believe how small she was…much smaller than she looks on tv.
My experience is that professional athletes radiate attractiveness IRL. It's almost like a bit of archetypal elements of athleticism and good health. You don't notice it as much on a screen because you often see them next to other world class athletes—but put them next to normal people and it pops.
Plus, they usually appear more cut than on a screen, and they are often very tan. Choose your favorite attractiveness scale and give them a +1 or +2 to where you would put them normally.
