Do you also make fun of Ron Clarke for falling in an Olympic final? Did you know that El Guerrouj fell in his first Olympic final, lost his second, and is still considered the 1500m/mile GOAT? I know who is not a winner. You.
Neither comparison is equivalent or valid. Unlike El G, Ingebrigtsen didn't fall - he completely misjudged his capabilities and was reduced to a walk. Ron Clarke was the best distance runner in the world when he went to Mexico '68 but stood no chance at altitude. Ingebrigtsen has had some great victories on the track but in the HM he showed no understanding of what the race required and his abilities and ran like a big-head who blew up.
And is that reason for you to come here every day and spam countless threads putting that man down?
Julien Wanders would do every single easy run mile <6:00 (though we saw where that got him)
Stephen Scullion and Andy Butchart have both separately said that whenever they trained with Mo Farah and Bashir Abdi they would do their easy runs all <6:00 aswell
the further back you go, the harder it is to confirm stories but there's a book of interviews with British Marathoners from back in the 70's etc, and many of them were pumping out some ridiculous stuff (if true).
Obv we've heard multiple times about Blanks and the Harvard guys only ever doing 6:00/M on easy days + Klecker doing the same too

It's an agreeable and necessary counter to the endless spam from his deluded fans.
Claiming or believing that el g did his easy runs at a 4:50 min mile pace is even more stupid. That probably was his tempo pace.
John Mayock trained with El G for several months during one winter in the early 2000s, and according to him, there certainly wasn´t any 4,50/mile easy pace runs.
It doesn't actually take much of my time because responding to you guys is quite easy.
Not true. Our posts have timestamps, have you noticed? You spend hours here every day.
Actually, I don't. I do quite a lot of others things, since writing a post doesn't take very long. But I appreciate your concern - as unnecessary as it is.

It's actually incorrect or a plain lie, what you are saying. It's easy to see that you spend hours here every day.
