She's built like a sprinter but runs long distance events with an awful form
they know she's an injury waiting to happen, she won't be signed by anyone, her event has thousands of faster african women... I know Gault and you guys like her "personality" but come on

Listen, liking someone for their smoking hot body is not less valid than any other reason achieved by their nature. She’s a smoke show. A young, fast, blonde one. She will be signed and have millions in the bank before 30.
When I saw estimates before the Olympic Trials of her potential contract being worth $700-800k/year, I thought "Wow, she is getting lowballed!" She is the most marketable female distance runner since Suzy Favor Hamilton. She can be a regular on primetime TV commercials. She can command NFL/NBA/MLB money. Waiting and making them beg is the smart play.
Do you dorky runners not realize a girl of her caliber looks never needs to stress about money? Parker could be a 23 minute 5k runner and if she wanted to latch onto a decently handsome guy at UF medical school or some guy from business school with a tier 1 private equity offer in hand she could probably do so in under a week if she was motivated.
The fact she's the greatest female college distance runner of all time is icing on the cake.
Laughing hard at people here worrying about her sponsorship or giving up earnings etc. Parker will never have to worry about money for the rest of her life.
She doesn't need the money right now. She's taken care of at home, probably has NIL money in the bank, and can take her time weighing her options.
Plus, a contract signed this time of year would probably also expire this time of year after however many years she's signed for. The timing wouldn't work well if she isn't extended, and she would need to find a new sponsor since so many others often sign around this time and she'd be competing with a lot of them for new sponsorship. Her leverage would be much worse than if her contract were to expire in, say, late fall or winter, and she could seek another deal against less competition.
Is this the same agent who anonymously posts here blasting her for not being signed? She's not taking your crappy offer, dude. And she doesn't need to.
There is often more to this I agree. But OP question is still valid. Never discount the effect of striking while the iron is hot. Anything...could happen to her in the next month or 2 or 3. ACL tear playing volleyball, scooter crash, you name it. It all happened before.
She could not be negotiating from a stronger position than right now.
I remember she was asked about her lack of a contract after the trials and she did not seem concerned in the slightest. She's going to get paid and she knows it.

Was talking to agents in Paris and her strike hit moment was right after NCAA. She will sign for half her father thought was fair.
