It’s not unreasonable to ask for when in a 55 minute show your referenced comment was made.
Thank you. Would be a bummer for him to be done this year.
No worries, but does sound like he’s done.
By the way though, if there’s a better track interviewer than Shannon Sharpe, I haven’t seen it. His interviews are good.
Yeah, I think a paycheck for this Tyreek thing would get him off the couch. Maybe playing some leverage with adidas and the DL/Grand Slam Track as well. Bit of an unusual decision for Lyles but it’s also possible with his asthma and such, bouncing back from COVID wasn’t great. There are plenty on enticing 100/200 DL spots if he changes his mind…

Agreed. Shannon is knowledgeable about the sport, and he's been covering it a lot on his show the past few weeks.
Beyond Noah confirming he's done for this season, there are a lot of other good topics that came up in this interview that are worth a listen/watch:
1:10: Noah discusses his strategies and mindsets through the rounds of the 100 in Paris.
4:03: Noah dissects the 100m final.
6:10: Discussion on maintaining confidence even when falling behind in the 100.
7:50 Thoughts on Kishane Thompson
9:25: Handling pressure
11:30: Covid and the 200; Noah says he thought he was in shape to break the world record in the 200 before he got covid.
16:00: The differences between running the 100 and 200
17:45: Noah comments on his energy running the rounds of the 200 and why he came out for the 200 final the way he did
18:20: Noah’s 200 lane preference (6 or 7)
20:00: More on covid
22:52: Being the villain vs being the hero (he sees himself as the anti-hero)
25:52: The NBA and “world champions”, and the difference in how US Olympians are treated compared to those in other countries
31:11: Lack of exposure for the sport of track & field and the difficulty for fans to follow it (Noah isn’t happy about the Diamond League going to Flo Track)
33:30: Noah’s thoughts on Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track league (he says he’s waiting to hear if there will be a TV provider before he decides if he’s going to join)
35:27: the 4x100; interesting thoughts from Noah on the politics that goes into athlete/order selection; he believes they should have either gone with the same lineup from the prelim or put Kenny on the anchor leg
38:30: his potential in the 400; he would like to take a shot at the 400 world record if he ever switches to that event
40:25: what happens if he doesn’t win the 200 gold in LA and his goals from now until then
43:30: Anthony Edwards’ shoe release and Noah’s ongoing desire to have his own shoe, including feeling unheard by Adidas
When your mother says on Live NBC coverage, that you had Covid - there is a price to be paid for NBC and TeamUSA providing cover. Good Luck, Noah Lie-lols.
There are only 2 certainties in life, death and this message board making a villian out of every breakout African American track star after every Olympics.
But when you run a world class time and then get wheeled off the track as an excuse because you lost, you are asking to be made fun of.
I agree with this. I generally root for the guy and want him to do well, but wow, it is easy to poke fun at some of his antics. It is the Democrat way to turn jokes into you hating a person. I'm sure he is secure enough to take dumb jokes.
There’s nothing wrong with jokes. Here’s one: your life and how you choose to spend it.
The problem is you mouth-breathing morons wouldn’t know a funny joke if it walked up to you and knocked the Diet Mt. Dew out of your clammy, grease-stained hands. You’re the opposite, an anti-funny black hole whose idea of humor is so awful that makes me wonder if I will ever laugh again.

Obviously. It’s so, so tiresome. They’ll endlessly glaze some cheesedick distance runner who finishes like 49th in the world but they’ll hate on almost any sprinter or POC.
Sooooo, if we don't appreciate Noah Lyles being continually arrogant to his fellow 'POC' competitors ("you will be depressed"). and decide to recognize that he likely has some major deficits in honesty that might be equal to his maturity deficit - as compared to fellow POC athlete -- then, we are racists.
Warning: If you cannot provide verifiable testimony of having real-life POC friends -- don't comment on your opinion about the ridiculousness of behavior by POC athletes on LetsRun.com.
I agree with Letsile, Noah is loud and arrogant. and Frankly, he's turned more people off track than onto it.

He’s a sprinter, retard. He makes money by being brash and confident. He’s not some skinny pencil-dick distance tool who gets paid in Nugo bars to run a 5k in Decatur, Illinois.
He’s the fastest person in the world. He has every right to talk crap to anyone he wants, until someone beats him. Until then he’s going to run his mouth and get uptight, insecure, idiotic losers like yourself mad.

Please. You wokester slobs and hasbarat trolls bend over forward and backward for any POC to try and garner virtue points while attacking whitea and the West.
Relax everyone. Whether you like him or not, the races would have been more exciting with him. A rematch with Tebogo and a Covid free Lyles would have got top billing. A bit of a curious decision to me.
He’s passing up some serious money in appearance fees as the reigning Olympic 100m champ.
again i called this during the olympics, he was whisked away to the medial tent after that semi, then claimed the covid during the finals....i called it as he was glowing which is why he was taken to the medical tent, then explained he was hot, dont win gold then claim covid then shut down for the season, claim during the winter that besides covid there was a lingering injury but be vague about it. so the first year of his silent shadow ban is explained away as injury. when he gets ready to open up for say PRE, he will pull out last minute claiming this vague injury is still bothering him and then we wont see him till spring 2026.
What you guys are missing is the Egyptian Usamillian Pegasus is banning to banish 3 children - each contenders for the world u10 record to the shadow realm. Only Noah Lyles, who has the heart of the cards can duel Pegasus and prevent this tragedy.
