I think Noah won't get the quick start in 100m and it will be too late to cover. 100m gold might go for sub10.70
Honestly would love to see what kind of carnage could make an olympic gold not go faster than 10.70.

why was the young athlete in his first ever international championship so pumped to win his Olympic heat in under 10 seconds against the biggest name in Sprinting?
10.04 thanks for coming out Noah

I miss the days of Bolt dropping 9.7s and 9.8s in heats
I was told yesterday that this is a "fast track".

maybe it's rose tinted glasses on my part cause Blake and Bolt were over 10s in 2016.
Guess it's more that the winners today bar Thompson and Seville haven't looked like they're shutting it down at all.
Jacobs looks so much slimmer and skinnier than he was in 2021. Way less powerful.

bolt never dropped a 9.7 or 9.8 in the heats. His best heat was the quarterfinal in Beijing at 9.91
Thompson looks really strong, like Asafa in his prime. He's the clear favorite based on the heats this morning.

Is Rojo getting excited right now?
Tebogo is the guy with the biggest range in the field. Not sure if i'd rather he look insane in his heat or for him to look terrible through two rounds and then randomly drop 9.7 in the final.
Here comes Bednarek.
Are any intelligent observers able to tell me what we should expect the last 3 events of the decathlon? Leo with a 72 point lead on Damian Warner...the favorite from here is who? strengths and weaknesses for each?
Is it me or did peacock just shut down on everyone?
Anyone else’s Peacock switch to swimming? WTF?
