I have Peacock, there was no split screen for the men's 800 final free. They went to break, came back with roughly 130 meters to go. It's absurd. Let's not forget they had an interview with the sister during the first part of the race with a small section of the screen to watch race....
Yes, NBC/Peacock it's not going to matter. You can bet they're going grease in at least one commercial in the steeple and 5000, probably three in the 10000.
Hey, let's not get too greedy here. Are you literally complaining about ONLY seeing 12+ laps of the 10k and 7+ laps of the 5k? I'm as big a distance fan as you'll find, and I don't even need to see the first 12 laps of the 10k or 5 laps of the 5k. I'll take half of each and be just fine!
Remember...those annoying ads pay the bills so we can watch something. Beggars can't be choosers!
I paid the $7.99 for Peacock. The marathon is on at 2am my time, but I assume I can watch the replay later in the day? I will just have to avoid any news coverage of it before I get a chance to watch it.
Peacock has virtually all Olympic events live with replays available after. I assume it will be the same for Athletics, given the fairly low cost I don’t know what one could possibly complain about.

I paid $5.99 in June for Peacock to watch some of the Diamond League meets. Then, a month later, I went to cancel it and they gave me an offer of $1.99/month for 6 months. Try cancelling your subscription and see if you get the same offer.

You need to be off the grid. No electronics PERIOD. Algorithms will push content to you (youtube, insta, x, etc), web splash pgs will be flush with news, message boards will be messaging, thumbnails will have pictures of arms in air, etc.
peacock is a dream come true for T&F fans. the cut in stuff will never be ideal, but what you get for the money is a dream come true.
i am so sad about them losing the diamond league to flo next year. it's a real tragedy.
Correction: It was a dream come true before they cut the World Feed and started force-feeding us the NBC feed, which had many ads that blocked it from covering the field events or distances races properly. They also didn't staff up the commentary a good bit, so you'd have Trey Hardee doing his best to call distance events and so on.
Today I learned that you can rewind the live feed on Peacock even if you hadn’t been matching. So if the session is still going on, you should be able to do that, and if it’s over, they put up a replay pretty fast, it seems.
I just want to get the world feed so I don’t have to listen to the annoying NBC commentary. I don’t want to listen to Kara Goucher and I certainly don’t want to see Snoop Dogg.
When has it ever. I find it so amusing that people on this board think the average joe is interested in seeing someone run around an around and around an oval for 30 mins. bizarre.
What about VPN to UK for BBC coverage? In Tokyo they covered the entire marathon with no ads, no "human interest" cutaways, just pure running commentary on the race and the competitors.
CBC (Canada) was good in 2021. I'd also expect that to perform a bit better than going all the way across the Atlantic (and possibly all the way across the US, depending on location).

Peacock is essentially free with the AMEX Platinum card, you get a $20 per month digital entertainment credit. I have the ESPN, Hulu, Disney bundle for $14.99 and Peacock was $5.99 so I paid $.98 per month for all of that content. It's not $2.98 since peacock price increased.
CBC: everyone can see everything. anything not on TV is being streamed on your computer.
mirror it on the big tv if you want.
I went to CBC earlier today hoping to watch the Wang vs Moregardh table tennis match live, and they instead showed a different match. Is there anyway to see other matches in replay besides the ones they show live?
