Meh, Noah is annoying. I feel like he’s trying to be like Bolt or at least be as popular as Bolt. However, he just fails at pulling it off, whereas bolt comes off gregarious and endearing. Noah just seems to be annoying. Of course he’s a great runner, but part of me wants somebody to take him down in the 200 just to bring him down a few notches. The “that’s cute” statement to that reporter in London, really was offputting.

You’re giving him too much credit. He wins because he’s a talent. But I was wondering about what the field thought of Lyles, watching the intro to the 100m final at Trials. Lyles gets to come out last with a WWE POV for tv camera following him and it’s put up on the screen in the stadium. But it looked intrusive and deferential in the stadium. Lyles is corny and nonthreatening and wins so he’s been made into the face of the sport in the US. Quincy Hall is also tired of Lyles yapping.
this is PRECISELY why the michael johnson track league needs to exist. I'd pay to see a 400m spite match between lyles and hall one week then watch Lyles light zharnel Hughes up in any event the following week. Best part they all get paid, drama created, eyes watching..
