What else do you want them to say? There isn't enough information right now, if it comes out as an real assassination attempt every media outlet will be running that headline. It might seem "obvious" to you but putting that in writing is a big deal and it makes sense media outlets don't want to say it. Even Fox News is running "Major incident breaks out at trump rally" right now, even less descriptive than what MSNBC is saying.
