Myers also did great with 2:17.44 and a 5th place.
(Myers is one year and two months younger than Laros)
A shame he isn't going to the Olympics. It's gonna be really exciting to follow these two guys in the coming years. Laros has barely raced this year (I guess he has been injured), but this was really promising. He must be capable of some really fast 800m and 1500m times at the moment.
I like Myers but 2:17 is not great. It’s worth probably a 1:46-high/3:34. Stewy’s 7:29 run at Paris was way better if we are being objective. I still can see the argument to make Myers as Stewy will be in the 5,000.
This is a solid mark for Laros. Probably indicates he’s in 1:44-mid/3:31 shape if not better consider how he closed looking easy. We’ll see in Monaco and I would not be shocked if he hits 3:29. He’s that talented.
I think Monaco will be a great setting for him to go for Jakob’s PB at 19, which was 3:28.68 from Monaco 2020. His 3:31.25 at 18 last year is very comparable to Jakob’s times at the same age and I believe he is well capable of running 3:29

Yeah, I'd say Laros must be right around 3:30 right now. That 3:31.25 PR is sure to go.
Laros is an absolute killer. His year 17 and year 18 PRs are extraordinary...now this just after turning 19 (in April)
2:14.37 Total phenon with great range up to 5000m. Good for him.
Easy guy to root for.
I agree with this above all. I follow a lot of the Dutch athletes on Instagram. It doesn't matter what age it is, what level it is, or what event it is, by the time I see a post Niels Laros has already Liked it.
And that extends to many non-Dutch athletes as well
