Just watched the race, the conditions were horrendous. Cold, heavy rain, windy. Jakob went out really fast for the first 300m, but he was definitely hurting the last 300m as he looked labored coming down the hime straight, although it’s understandable given the weather. 3:34.04 completely solo in those conditions may have been 3:32 or better in more ideal weather. As someone else mentioned, the race was over after 100 meters. I’m sad to see Filip running so poorly, he was way back in 3:53. He needs to move up to the 5K or 10K

It would be way better. Some of the guys in that field ran 3:37 but could only run high 3:40's. Safe to say he is in 3:27 shape, especially when he tapers.

As always, Jakob and his fans are the GOAT of excuses.

Sadly he should probably retire. I don’t know if he has it in him anymore, I’ve heard he’s had health issues, I feel bad for the guy. Maybe he could get into coaching
I guess he doesn't want push too hard to save his energy for the next races and Olympics
No, it was the weather. -In an interview just before Jakob’s race the Norwegian record holder in the 400m said in was the worst weather she had experienced ever on a track…
Have to repeat this again: One of the guys you are calling hobbyjogger ran 3.37 twice this season as a 17 years old…
I also call Cole Hocker fat. Do you know what a joke is? Or are you in such a hurry to post ten times in a row that you treat everything at face value? Get a grip, Armstronglite.

Very hard to know when guys like you joke. (Anyways -bad joke to dis athletes / and posters all the time hidden behind an unregistered handle). Think it’s better to pay my respect to a 3.37 17 years old one time too many..

And you are hiding behind a registered handle. Big difference.
