Where does this put Nike? Where does this put Valby? Moving Jerry to U of O not only killed off that program but the Bowerman program. They cannot be happy, unless they are looking to only sign international and backing out of investing in distance and middle distance in North America.
Nike has been backing away from sponsoring individual runners for the last 5 years. The CEO isnt a runner or Nike lifer anymore. He's a Wall Street hack that only sees the bottom line. Plus the Shelby doping situation and Salazar situation is terrible publicity.

From what I understand none of them have trained much or at all at altitude, so they should be poised to improve a lot from that standpoint. Also, the OAC is no doubt the most stacked from in the country now

Definitely need to start the replacement process for the women. Monson is still ok for next Olympics in terms of age along with longer distance performance. Andrews is on her way out for both age and performance and this season is most likely her swan song so getting Olivia right into the 5K now is perfect. Vissa and Hurta won’t be getting any faster either.

A lot of their more "everyday" shoes are definitely really only made for walking (regardless of what they market them as). But some of their higher end shoes like the cloudmonster and their racing shoes are actually quite nice for running. Just way too expensive

That's for sure. A video clip Ritz posted showed a shot of Andrews as he was talking about being injured. Her injury may be over, but not likely 100% in race shape or mental shape not having raced since January. Somehow doubt she will be fit for 5 races this week between the 5K and 1500 rounds.

Ky Robison is interesting because he overlaps with Morgan which is something they’d avoided. Other two make a lot of sense given that they don’t have a female steepler any more, and Ramsden is a Kiwi.
I'd be sweating on a Good Olympics if I were Morgan McDonald. Those original contracts are surely up for renewal after Paris and he has mostly been injured.
