So you are suggesting Nike’s agent put Valby on report, to flex their negotiating muscles, while at the same time supplying Valby her shoes?!
I don’t put anything beyond that company being the ringleader in this sus sport.
You clearly don’t have great judgement, that’s not what the poster is implying. Wow how did you manage to jump to that conclusion…?
And the post with the photo you provided about athletes wearing super shoes was false. All 4 of those athletes in that circle were wearing legal spikes their companies sale. Everyone in the meet wore legal spikes…at NCAA’s, that wasn’t the case
How obtuse are you? The agent that represented Valby’s N Ike deal has represented multiple Nikee athletes through the years. His son runs for Nike. Read the OP’s post.

The fuzzy photo was an example to show that there may very well be a high stack shoe in that meet with all of those athletes in it. (Even a guy in the front row seems to have a high stack shoe, but an actual offender (there were a bunch of collegiates in that meet) may be in one of the meets less important races.

While that is technically possible, shoes are often checked at world athletics tour meetings. It is also somewhat irrelevant as we know for a fact illegal shoes are used in the ncaa. You’re welcome to report the ten for allowing illegal footwear if you have any evidence of that and I expect world athletics would react accordingly.

Flynn sports management represents more than just Nike athletes. Their website has all the major brand logos on it. At least three of the top likely 10k contenders have at least tangential ties to Flynn and are with three different shoe companies. Kelati is represented by Stephen Haas.
Valby’s 10000m at SEC’s is in her Road to Paris ranking, and she ran that race in high stack shoes.
Valby’s 5000m at Natty’s is NOT in her Road to Paris ranking, and yet she wore those in legit stack height spikes (painted with Florida colors).
Obviously something is going on with the inconsistency in rules application.
All the NCAA 5 and 10 races are marked with the rules application for both men and women. It isn't just Valby that has the rules applied to her, but she's obviously the target.

Valby was wearing legit stack height shoes in the 5 (painted in Florida’s colors); in the 10 she was wearing the high stack Vaporfly’s with a spike plate. The 5 should consequently count in her WA ranking and the 10 should not. This was the interpretation that RoJo and LRC repeatedly affirmed after the Natty’s races.

ccfangirl is an inflammatory troll (maybe a touhyite). Somebody earlier was claiming because some illegal stack height shoes were worn in some races, the whole Natty’s meet was invalidated for WA ranking purposes. But the latter is not true; for example Baloga’s Natty’s marks in the steeple are in the WA Road to Paris.
It is still not yet clear why Valby’s 5000m mark at Natty’s is not in the WA Road to Paris.

I'm glad Rojo and LRC affirmed this with their ever knowing authority. They were correct in their assessment of her shoes, but obviously wrong in their assessment of what WA would do about there being no shoe control in either race. NCAAs get up to 70 bonus points for a win, that's a high ranking meet on the WA calendar, if NCAA doesn't want this to happen, they could have amended their rules to conform with WA.
Habatom Samuel has the same rule application to both his 5000m and 10000m performance on the WA site that Valby does. He wore acceptable shoes in both races. WA didn't target Valby, they eliminated the whole race from being eligible.
If someone protested to WA about the races though it was because of Valby. Sucks for her, but she's good enough to qualify for the olympics in spite of this with a good race in either the 5 or the 10 still.

Why would they “eliminate the whole race” when she was wearing legit stack height shoes? Makes no sense.

I even have spiky pink hair and a hole to stick a pencil in me. Only the 5/10 results for men and women were invalidated. No one wore superstacked road shoes in a steeple. Markezich's time counts towards her ranking. Definitely not a Tuohyite. She's a second tier US pro for now. Wake me up when she races again.

If the ncaa has chosen not to enforce world athletics rules it makes some sense to eliminate everyone. By this logic though I’m surprised they didn’t just not recognize the whole meet instead of invalidating specific events.

It sounds like someone protested the inclusion of the NCAA 5000 and 10000 and there B Category bonus points in the rankings. This singular action hurts one athlete (Valby). The protester was targeting her, either to help their athletes or because Valby chose to go without a real agent in her contract negotiations.
Parker Wolfe, et al didn't go fast enough to get enough points to help their rankings in the men's 5000m race. None of the other NCAA women are on the cusp of qualifying for anything in the 5000 or 10000. Habatom Samuels got an auto qualifier in the 10000 already, and the Kenyans racing NCAAs aren't making the Kenyan team. Chandler Gibbens is accepted into the trials and that's probably the culmination of his season.
Since when does WA pick and choose only certain races in a meet to disqualify for ranking? Why wasn’t the steeplechase disqualified, too??
Valby had legit stack height shoes in the 5. You’re saying, as a result, the 5 and 10 male and female races don’t count for ranking.

Exactly. Why pick and choose events.
I’m not sure which is more janky, this, or WA accepting inflated marks from a 3000m Millrose race to count toward 5000m ranking purposes.🙄
Are you sure it's because other athletes in her race wore non-compliant shoes? I'm not aware of that being a rule, and it would open up the door to people sabotaging competitor's rankings.
World Athletics has thousands of athletes just as talented as Valby to keep track of, and tens to hundreds of thousands of performances. It's possible they just made an error or haven't approved the performance yet, especially given she wore non-compliant shoes in the 10,000.
I am not completely sure but every mark in those races says TR 5.5 next to it ( rule about stack height) and is not counted for rankings for the athletes despite many athletes in these races using legal spikes. It is not just Parker who the race doesn’t count for. World athletics has emphasized that the shoe rules must be enforced for all athletes for the race to count but has not been enforcing that at the ncaa level until now.
That makes me think they don't count these performances because the NCAA isn't enforcing their rules, not because of the presence of high stack shoes. This means that every NCAA 5000/10000m race wouldn't count, not because someone wore a high stack shoe in every one, but because the NCAA doesn't ban them outright.

Except they not only are being selective in which NCAA meets to include or throw out, they are being selective on which events to throw out in a particular meet, even if that event had athletes wearing legit stack height shoes. Janky.

That is what I recall. If the race officials are not enforcing the WA requirement, the WA does not want to have to decide who in the race met and did not meet the requirement. So they just accept no results from the race.
