Sounds like laws that can trip up a substantial number of people who are both drug addicts and gun lovers. Imagine the 60+ million Americans who have used illicit drugs. Then imagine the ~100 million people who own guns in the US. The intersection of those two circles has got to be in the millions. If he were a Republican son of a Republican politician, he'd probably be getting a lot of sympathy from NRA folks.
