Can't wait to hear the praise from gastro, Seethe the addict, Corvette and Armdonglivs!
Personally my only wish is for transparency. If this person was tested 8 times in the past 6 months that seems impressive. If he has been tested once, well then 1:43 isn't much of a challenge for this person.
Kenyan elites and sub-elites are now the most tested in the world. No country comes close. That's just fact.
Really think so! Super-deep and I think outside of the top 2 could we see sub-1:43 from Moula, Sedjati, Kemei, Hoppel, Kinyamal. Bunch of other guys running well, too.
Congratulations to this man. In before coevett trolls the thread with his racism.
He was originally a 400m runner. He has been with his current coach (also coach of Moraa) starting after the Pandemic it seems. The coach says he took a good bit to adjust. Also worth noting he didn’t have races outside of Kenya until this year. And within Kenya aside from him 2023 PB (1:46.2), his races usually had no pacemakers, but did have heats and then a final so not one-offs. He’d often lead out the races in 49-50pt and be unable to hold the pace from what I saw. Now he can hold a good pace and even kick off of it. But he’s definitely improved a ton.
Not even on some Coevett s***, but this guy's PR was 1:46 at the start of the year and he's 25... what has he done to drastically improve this much? Was he in a different event before?
Four second improvement to 1:42.0 at age 25 coming from a country that has had 400 doping busts.
Nothing to see here. Thoughtless leader will tell you he just hadn't been in the right races until now.
At this point, I have to say that with the exception of Hoppel all the above guys that you mention, especially the 25 year old with the three second pr and the same coach as Mary Moraa, are going to be banned at some point in their career. Let's revisit this thread in 2028 and see how many have been nabbed.
What makes you so confident Hoppel is clean? Oh, right...
