Ok, but what are we speculating is the motive behind this little-racing-except-major-global-events attitude? Some type of under the radar dosing regimen? Anything else? She’s missing out on appearance money she would get even if she participated and lost.
Mu and Sydney’s lack of racing makes me illogically upset and dislike them. I literally get more frustrated by the non-racing of two of our stars than something like the Shelburrito incident.
I guess because Shelby raced and that was hilarious to follow, thus providing entertainment in a way. This just makes me seethe
I have to say, it is hard to root for Mu at all, she does not compete in the sport.Sydney, does run some stuff, not enough for me or most. They got huge contracts and I get that they have other sources of revenue, but it seems a stretch to think that NB is getting their money's worth or Nike either. I know some expert will come on here and tell me I do not understand it all, but.....it kind of is what it is. They pull out of a lot of meets too, which hurts sponsors and future attendances.
So does someone who almost never races train? What is the incentive?
Well Sydney is certainly training , as her 22.0x 200M PR easily dispensing of a quality field. Probably will run a WR in 400H. Mu? Who knows, I do not think I have seen her run in 8+ Months?

You're assuming she's been training. She could have been doing a Makhloufi.
At this point i dont even want her at the olympics. Id be thrilled to see her somehow get 4th at the trials. Take an athlete with a love for the sport, literally would rather see anyone else represent the usa at this point.
Athing who? I started watching athletics about 2 years ago and I’ve read more people post about her potential than her actually racing. The race is still full of amazing runners and match ups, we don’t need her. Give the spotlight, money and attention to these women who love the port and race day in and day out for the fans to follow. Athing has been pampered, praised and loaded with cash for running fast and now thinks that she can now go and be a model lol she needs to just leave the sport already because she’s doing more damage than good for the fans. Even the casual athletics fans are starting to catch up to her bs.

Can someone answer? I don’t relate to this LR hatred towards insufficient racers. If someone’s got a good gig going where they make enough in their view without having to do too much work, good for them.
Marketability is where the money is at, and competing badly undermines that. Earnings in athletics are based on sponsors not "winning". Athletes don't need to compete to make the money.
Off the top of my head, Sydney has raced more times this year than: knighton, ETH, SAFP, Rai B, Michael Norman, I think Kenny B, Terrence laird, will Sumner, and a whole host of other runners who left college early only to completely disappear.

And what the heck ever happened to Justyn Knight? Have not seen a thing in over a year?
“She’s a veteran, if she’s healthy, she can make the team,” Kersee said. “And so, if I injure her before, I’m gonna be called a fool; if I don’t race her before, I’m gonna get [criticism]. So I have to do the math that’s going to put her on the team, and so whatever that math is between now and the 21st, that’s what I’m gonna do.”
Me me me. Kersee is nuts but I also fault Mu, a grown woman and a professional athlete, for allowing someone like Kersee to do this. No one should be deciding when Athing races other than Athing. I've said this before but this just confirms: Athing is a generational talent but just does not love running or competing as much as the world wants her to.
My guess is that she hates running and everything that goes with it.
This might be a solid take on this. It's kind of hard to believe that someone who would be so dominant at 4 and 8 would need to be that worried about much, especially in our country. She can win races from 400-1500, this notion of only running a trials and Olympics in a 12 month window? It may very well work, but that is someone who clearly doesn't like this, let alone love it. It was a platform for modeling visibility , that is for sure.
I predicted this when she pulled out of the 400m last weekend! And now I predict she will not be at the Olympics in Paris. Not because she is not capable of running well and even winning but because she has completely lost interest. I think it has even turned into hatred for the sport. Who or what is to blame for the loss of such a talent? Not Athing. It is the coach (es). The most important role of any coach is motivate the athletes. I hope I am wrong in my prediction but my gut feelings tell me otherwise.
