However, entry lists for Saturday's meet which includes the 800 & 1500 "A" races have yet to be released.
A day closer and still NO entry lists. They advertise for people to buy tickets but they won't even tell you who is running. This is a major problem for interest in T&F. Only a few days away and the fans have no idea who is running except for a few names.

Sometimes the athletes don't even confirm their status early.
If we're talking the men's 5k "A" race here, the only top US distance runners not entered so far are Grant, Woody, Joe, and Abdi.
Joe is entered in the Stockholm 5k so likely not him.
Regarding the other three, none are racing Pre or have been announced for the Oslo 5k or the Stockholm 3k soon after.
So . . .
Correction: add Sean McGorty to the above possibility list. Just opened his 2024 season at the OR Twilight meet, going 4000 meters in the 5k race won by Hicks. Certainly seems possible he could race, even in the "B" heat.
Perhaps I am missing seeing Fishers name on the linked list?
advertised on USATF website Cheptegai, Barega, Kiplimo but they too are not on the linked list.
Race is in three days. Who is managing the start lists?
There are two different sets of lists. The public lists where people entered themselves.
And the private lists, which the meet director is working on. Eventually those private lists will be made public, but they are waiting until the last minute. I wish they wouldn't do that. Hard to sell tickets when you aren't telling anyone who is in the big races.
I already know that the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs will open the NFL season four months from now and that (barring injury) Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Travis Kelce will be on the field.
But I do not know who will be racing on Saturday, four days from now.

Notice that Cole Hocker is Accepted/Declared in the 5k "public" list (on usatf.org) which looks like it is the "B" race entry list.
Yet, on the meet website (lagrandprix.org), there he is again, with all the stars -- now including Grant -- entered in the "A" race.
Only guessing here, but likely Hocker, Hacker, Herrera, et al. will be placed in the "A" race while the 13:20+ guys will comprise the "B" race.
As stated above, the "private" lists -- meaning all the Saturday races plus the men's 5k "A" race originally scheduled for Saturday but now concluding & highlighting Friday night's Distance Carnival -- have yet to be released.
Also, today's updated meet web page states the "A" race will be paced to sub-13:00. The top guys mentioned all have prs much faster than 13:00. Thus, this race could be really exciting, like last year's Florence/Rome 5k where 13 guys broke 13:00 with the winner at 12:52. Also, it should be just fast enough/slow enough to pull guys like Hocker & Teare under the 13:05 Oly Q.
I received an email from USATF to sign up for the "Fantasy Pick 'em Pool" for the LA Grand Prix. Has anybody signed up for this? Does it list the actual participants of the races? This might be the only way to find out who is racing before Friday.
