That's true. Even Biden's campaign knows how dangerous this issue is so in their updated Title IX legislation they covered all the trans issues except for athletics. They're probably waiting until after the election since this Far Left crap is toxic.

I agree that the majority (probably even a large majority) of democrats don't agree with it. But it's also true that probably over 99% of people who support this are democrats and not republicans.

This decision will be quickly reversed if all the other teams who compete against the team with the trans student decide to protested by not competing as well. When the only team left in the district is the team with the trans athlete, these m orons running te district will wake up.

I had no issue with Kaepernick's protest however a big difference is that Colin was not protesting something that involved his competition whereas this does. These athletes could be (although middle school shot maybe not a lot).

again a fib. do you folks ever read the fine print? they got a 1 meet ("next meet") suspension. it's a one meet "ban" which by definition is not plural "competitions."

this is my problem with conservative media. it is not even trying to be accurate. they even link to a local article that presents the full facts. but they then turn the situation into some inaccurate scare headline to whip people into a political frenzy. it's confirmation bias on steroids, a feedback loop. you're not getting the facts, you're getting what you can use politically or want to hear.

for comparison, i don't assume that NPR is literally sandbagging complicating facts in its stories.

i respect somewhat they did their protest. however they wasted everyone's time with 5 athletes repeatedly stepping in then back out of the circle, for however many turns, to protest someone's participation that was court-ordered. inasmuch as the trans person competing was not just legal but decided in court, interfering with the contest should have consequences. same as occupying a campus.

How were they interfering? If anything they made the competition go quicker by not actually throwing. They walked in and out. They never sat down in the ring and refuse to leave. They didn't block the trans athlete from throwing. You just talked about media not being accurate. You aren't being accurate.

to underline something, they didn't really DNS, they would get up on their turn, in their uniform, walk into the ring with the shot, couple even put shot to chin, stop, then walk back out. technically a foul though i don't know if it was scored that way. one willing to be pedantic could argue that "protest" is more accurate than "refused to compete."

if a kid got into the blocks then didn't run i'd call that DNF as opposed to DNS. they reported, the gun went off, they didn't go.
