Use a machete. Guns for show, knives for a pro.
I recommend having a firearm at all times. The only place I go without being armed is the airport to catch a flight. I personally like both Glock and Springfield. Glock 43 is what I prefer for running, in a fanny pack. I have had teenagers make fun of me for having a fanny pack, but I just tell them if you knew what I had in there you wouldn't be making fun of me.
