where was rupp? sub 2.08?
I know Boston is this weekend but Rotterdam is one of the biggest non-majors & was going to host Kiptum this year. No pre-race preview? Nothing post race? 2:04 winning time for the men, 7 guys under 2:08. 2:19 for the women's win, top-10 all under 2:27. Don't get how Rotterdam hasn't become a bigger spring marathon for the masses chasing fast times. Pretty much gets better weather than Boston/London every year & the course is a flier.
Korir went through halfway on 2:07-high pace. Still on 2:08:24 pace @ 30k. Finished in 2:12.

Lord knows what Kelvin Kiptum would’ve done on this course. Conditions looked perfect.
There was some wind today in Rotterdam according to the runners. Not the perfect conditions.
Was Belachew (Israel) on the Paris list before today? If not, he is the only person that slipped past Lenny in Rotterdam.

I have run Boston/London/Rotterdam/Berlin and some smaller marathons. Rotterdam is one or two minutes faster than London for people of my level (sub 3:10). Just a tad slower than Berlin.
It is considered the most beautiful marathon in Holland (although Amsterdam is bigger). It was sold out months in advance. It is known for its crowd support.
He is the 5th Israeli athlete on the list, Korir sitting in 72nd.
