In 2018, Drew Bosley ran 9:59.04 for 16th. 17th was Strangio in 9:00.2. Further back was Dylan Jacobs, who was a senior at the time, in 9:06 for 23rd.
Super shoes = 2s per lap for HS (3200) runners.
It has been proven that supershoes improve women performance more than men. It’s therefore logical that it will improve HS boy performance more than Olympic calibre men runners

There’s nothing logical about your post and it hasn’t been proven that the new road shoes aid women more than men. A 2 second per lap improvement for HS boys is ridiculous. If true, LV could have run 8:13.

Feel like I'm talking to a wall every time I post about this. The spikes are EVEN BETTER than people think. All the 30-40 year olds on here, who haven't worn spikes in years, just don't get it. 10-15 seconds over 3200, 20-25 over 5000.
I'm still trying to process the incredible depth in the boys' 3200 last night. Looking forward, here's a sample of the underclassmen for the rest of this season and then into 2024 XC and the track season. From last night's invitational race:

As an elite talented supershoes would have helped LV less than average.
I haven’t done the work, but I suspect 16s might provide a good 3200 curve fit to the top 100 boys HS 3200 times in the pre-supershoe era.
The impact of supershoes and the Internet on how HS boys train is part of that 16s, IMO, but the curve fit may do a good job at predicting long term relative potential.

When did I say that? I am just defending the current cohort of high school runners against far fetched doping allegations. If you took the chance to meet these kids you would see they are good natured competitors that happen to live in an era of enhanced competition. Not saying they are better than Pre. Just that they aren’t on the juice.

Newbury Park won championships. They knew how to get ready for the big races. Newbury Park was number one for 4 years in a row from 2019 to 2022. With Covid they won those championships in Indiana and Alabama and NXN.
American Fork is very good but they can’t and have never won a championship. It’s crazy to see how good they are and American Fork blew it at NXN twice going in being ranked number one. Newbury Park always showed up and dominated no matter what the pressure.
