The original thread is not a sexist joke. There is a lot of real pain on that thread, men trying to make the best of very difficult situations.
OK, fair. But it is a stupid sexist joke shirt. That's separate from whether there's a sincere issue that has been cartoon-ized into a sexist joke.
I don’t understand why the shirt is sexist. If you want to say it’s silly and childish, ok, but how is it sexist? I define sexism as discrimination against people based solely on sex.

I don’t think it’s sexist either. That’s an odd take. I just think it’s completely inane and void of any humor. And imagine someone asking about it and trying to explain “Oh it’s a reference to this old thread on a distance running message board I visit.” It would be a thoroughly awkward and unpleasant experience.

It's sexist because it's implied that men believe they're owed sex by virtue of being married. Not in actually, you know, behaving in a way that kindles romantic feelings to earn affection. It's a self-own.

Come on. And if you got all that from a t-shirt with a few words, you’re looking for things to get offended about.
That said, if I have to “earn” my wife’s affections, we've got problems. After all, my wife does not have to “earn” access to 100% of my paycheck. She gets it because she’s my wife. For husbands to “earn” access to sex puts the man in a subservient position. Very degrading for the man, and ultimately the wife will find that frame to be extremely unattractive.

Also implies that there's a not insignificant demographic of women who use sex primarily if not exclusively to land a mate. And don't enjoy sex otherwise. Also an implied sexist generalization.

It's the reference, Einstein. The rest of what you wrote is claptrap to satisfy your fragile ego.

What I wrote is a concise and clear explanation of the facts of sexual relations between a husband and wife. No one who wants a successful marriage and family should ignore them.
