Elle St. Pierre win proves not all winners are dopers

Some are so much better than their competition, it’s hard to believe that they are 100% natural. Kipyegon, Bolt, Sydney, Kipchoge, Jakob, Mondo, etc fall into this category.
I want to believe (and I hope) they are clean as well, but the more they are outliers, the more suspect that makes them.

Why would you assume that LeBron James uses EPO? Others have said that as well.

EPO is not the PED du jour for football players & basketball players that are as big as LeBron. Yeah, basketball players do a lot of running but EPO is primarily used by distance runners and cyclists.

How does someone winning a race prove that not all race winners are dopers?

How on Earth can you make that claim! None of us know what she does in private. We don’t know if an athlete is taking a banned substance. Are we just going to assume she’s clean because she is a white American? She could have access to a new designer drug that is not yet detectable. We have been duped so many times before, by many “credible athletes”.

Personally, I think it’s more likely she doped. I find it hard to believe a woman can improve her fitness during pregnancy. In fact; it seems more reasonable in my brain that an athlete would take a PED to return to fitness during an olympic year.

I’ll avoid an arrogant stance, but to say any athlete is dirty or clean based on anything aside from consistent testing data is completely moronic.

The reality of elite sport today is that with some sports and events you could guarantee the best are doping while in others there will be at least an asterisk, that doping is possible or even likely. It is in championship darts, curling and chess. The horse has long bolted in athletics.

While I don't doubt that Lebron is on some stuff, another dude running his mouth isn't very solid evidence that he's doping.

This post might be a bait, but I think a lot of people who pay attention to the sport think this.

I hate the whole “everyone is cheating” bs but there is a way to be appropriately skeptical without jumping to this lazy conclusion.

so, for those of you who believe Elle is clean…can you explain why? You probably don’t know her personally, so you can’t actually vouch for her character. She’s seen massive improvements in recent years and setting an American record 10 months post partum is…pretty….unbelievable.

the way everyone initially reacted to the Shelby doping scandal was telling. There is still a lot of bias among media and fans with who has good “character” and won’t dope and who will. It’s hard to take anyone at face value when they say without any explanation they believe Elle, a white all American farm girl, would NEVER dope while casually dismissing runners from African countries as cheaters.

so if you don’t think Elle is doping, explain concrete reasons why.

This is why I want to believe Elle is clean.

But think about something like EPO - would that really cause breastfeeding issues? Would the child be at risk because Elle has some extra red blood cells?

This gal was a very good albeit not legendary NCAA performer. It's certainly suspicious that a 29 year old is annihilating everyone less than a year after giving birth.

EPO = more power/stamina/energy. Harder training, quicker recovery, better performance.

Not just for endurance athletes.

Concrete reasons? For distance running, you seem to believe in, “guilty until proven innocent”. If improving is concrete evidence, why hasn’t she been banned already?
