According to an article in the local paper a few months ago, she planned visits to NC State, Colorado, Oregon, and Stanford. Might’ve been one more that I don’t recall now.

The school I forgot is Virginia.

The HS NIL’s are no money , just gear and travel to NB Nationals . Not smart for the kids to Sign that deal

And Colorado was not one of her choices. Only took me 3 posts to nail it!

I qualified the year it was canceled. So “1”. let me guess, you watched a YouTube video of a qualifier so “you qualified”.

Doing so anonymously, this makes you feel better about not being as fast as you’d like, bullying high school runners that are brave enough to not follow the traditional route?

Not smart? Looks like it equals to over $25,000 factoring in all costs to all 4 meets. It's super smart and great for them.. when you have kids and have to shell out $3-5 grand to go to NB Nationals, have fun with that. You'll also probably pay full price for college.

$25,000 to attend 4 meets?!?! How in the world did you come up with such a ridiculously high figure?

all they get is gear and flights and hotel to NB Nationals. They did this before NIL for the too kids without signing a NIL. The kids are suckers to sign something like this. Now they are forced to race NB Nationals. Good for NB , bad for the HS kids.

Explain how it’s “bad“ for the high school kids? Thank you, because as a coach on an NIL student athlete it is nothing but great, but am open to your perspective.

I'll explain. They are not getting paid. All these New Balance NIL deals consist of is shoes, some running apparel and travel to the Indoor and or Outdoor New Balance HS national meets only.

New Balance does this and has been doing this for years for the top kids in the country anyway without signing a "NIL". Why sign a contract that obligates you to attend their New Balance National Meet? It's now forcing these top kids to attend the New balance meet. HS kids think it's cool to post in IG they are getting a NIL deal when in reality if they didn't sign that deal they would get the same exact thing with no contract telling them what to chose.

You act like free gear and more publicity entering college for a top tier runner is a bad thing. Majority of runners never had that opportunity going into college from high school
