I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if a runner loses a race.
It happens- it's early in the season, it's an off day, whatever...
Now, it seems that people read too much into a loss.
I agree. Adds a bit of fire in their belly. Wightman knows he needs to get his closing speed back and he’s not quite where he was pre-injury. Now’s the time to work on that so he can peak at the right time.
