Calling a black man a "black boy" isn't really saying that he's an Uncle Tom -- rather it's alienating him and trying to lower his social value.
By calling someone a "black boy", it's the "boy" part which is degrading -- as the term "boy" for black men has a long history of use by whites/non-blacks to reduce the stature of grown men.
Avery Brundage's language was a good example of such.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
I said that in my speech at Washington DC. But, now I'm spinning in my grave as I see that all my hard fought efforts against REAL white racism and oppression has been turned into something else by modern misguided Black brothers and sisters. Blacks have become more racist than whites. In my time Blacks were hosed and beaten simply for demanding equality. Now Blacks whine and play the race card even when THEY have committed crimes. Where has accountability gone? What happened to the noble cause of civil rights, equality and justice for all? Why have these modern Black "leaders" like Mr. Al 'Tawana Bradley' Sharpton hijacked our cause?
I'll leave you with one more quote from my speech that modern Blacks seem to have forgotten:

It happens in our own sport. See what Brooks Johnson gets away with. Any white guy in any position in usatf spouts that crap they're gone. Try sitting next to Stephanie Hightower ina any meeting and you'll hear more racist crap then you've heard in a lifetime.
Best solution to the Bonds issue? Go to a game and let him know what you think. If you live in SF boycott the games.

The native Americans have been railroaded for years and years and you still see racial slurs against them including the names of college and pro teams. There is never nearly as much of an outcry when it comes to racism against native americans. But the blacks are a bunch of cry babis so we need to give them free tickets to allow them to continue to voice their hatred!

Then you should speak out if you see people like the Native Americans being disrespected in some way that is offensive to them.
My suggestion is when you hear someone make a racist statement about a white person is to improve yourself by thinking about what might have contributed to that statement. Just the fact that they harbor some anger is not unusual and I don't care if they grew up rich or poor, they have experienced racism in some way.
My response to Barry Bonds or any other African American who makes a "racist" comment is, I'm sorry you feel that way, you probably have a reason to feel that way, I hope I didn't contribute to you having such a low opinion of whites.

Not more than one week ago I saw a newscast on a group of them in Middleton Ohio walking door to door and handing out brochures about "the Klan" and their efforts towards seperation and bigotry. You must be living in a cave in Idaho if you don't think the Klan is alive and well in America. Just do a google search - their hate message is all over the country and all over the web. One might "improve" by delving into the source of such racist comment, but please explain how allowing any racist remarks contributes to some form of justice and "improvement" in society, legally blond.
Couldn't one come to the conclusion that racism is not the best policy then, now, or forever more? Wouldn't this person believe that since racism is wrong everywhere and at any time, that anyone making a racist remark has no justification... even if they have individual reasons?
Legally Blond, If you believe that what some whites did to some blacks will never equal what some blacks do to some whites then why would allowing racist remarks made from black people be advisable? If justice will never be served in your eyes then there seems to be no point to allowing racism to continue, no matter the source.
If you believe that at some point racism against whites will finally equal in magnitude racism against non-white peoples, could it be possible that this point has already been reached on a societal level? That is, individuals such as Barry Bonds might have doled out more racist remarks and acts than have been committed by him and his family before him. On the average, black people would still be suffering more racism, but individually--just in Barry's case--he might be contributing to a more racially divided society because of his actions and words.
