Anyway, I'm not a pro, but, I'd be honored if someone copied my training. They'd probably end up hurt in some weird way.
I sort of knew someone that was a B-tier member of Tinman. I asked about their training and he was like, "Sorry, that's a secret," as if his coach didn't rise to "fame" by posting all of his training philosophy online
"Sorry, that's a secret," seems like a good way for someone to get out of a conversation that they just don't want to have. To me it sounds like, "I really don't want to sit and answer your questions for the next hour because that's what will happen if we start this conversation."
No, it was more like, "We're running together and having casual conversation and talking about training in general for the 45 minutes. What kind of training do you do?" and I got, "Sorry, can't tell you." while he asked me about what I had been doing.

This guy does not want you to get better. That was he/she thought.
I imagine sharing training between the top pros would make almost no difference to race results. Top pros typically have top coaches and they would already know how others are training. For example, Danny Mackey would have known about Norwegians doing double thresholds long before the general running community became obsessed with it. No one is reinvesting the wheel.
The bigger risk is if your average runner copies the pros, not understanding the nuances and gets hurt.
