I think Molly's Instagram story is about "get well soon" flowers from her sponsor that knows she is unfit for the trials, most likely with a knee injury from her previous recent complaints. I don't think Molly will be a contender with all the recent evidence seen.

I’ve followed her on Strava for awhile. She didn’t do this leading up to the last trials or the Olympics.

Creeps like you are why it is good for many not to have social media account. It's also why many top-level females don't use Strava. There are too many stalkers out there and you seem to have stalkerish tendencies.

Take a look at her boyfriend's Instagram account. I'm pretty certain whatever is going on has nothing to do with her physical fitness for trials.

This is supposedly a pro sport. Maybe you don't follow sports, but people take an interest in the injury/health status of elite athletes, the same as their training and performance.
Stalking? This pro athlete, paid to keep people's attention on themselves and sponsor products, POSTED A PHOTO ON A PUBLIC PHOTO-SHARING WEBSITE, for the purpose of public viewing and engagement.
The OP viewed the photo, as the athlete and sponsor intended, and is sharing and discussing it, as the athlete and sponsor intended.
