Running unattached at USATF Cross, removed NNormal from her Insta bio and in her latest video she's back to wearing Brooks again. Maybe Brooks took her back?
Would make sense that NNormal stops the contract as it is against their ethics to have runners popped out for forbidden drugs (even if it was just by mistake)
I don't think she was ready to go all-in on trail running. She did run a local 50k & do those Golden Trail World Series racing but she still has enough talent to make US teams. XC Champs this weekend should tell us a lot more.
Allie is a prime example of someone that would greatly benefit from being off the internet, or at the very least making her SM private and only for friends she has in real life. SM is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family, once you try to monetize it SM becomes an unhealthy vice.
She should get a real job with that degree she got on scholarship where she doesn't have to put out drivel online and she will be much happier.
I believe she ran mount marathon in highschool and won it in 2017. So she trained on trails just never in a competitive sense until last year.
She was a junior world mountain running champion.
Are we really going to pretend like the junior mountain running championships are legitimate international competition? Mountain running is already massively restricted to small mountain communities or rich people who can afford to travel. The number of juniors who can do mountain running (and chose to do it over high school xc) is probably extremely limited.
Love Allie and her content! I find her Youtube channel really entertaining and as for her mental health - it seems great tbh! There are so few people who get to be at the very top in this sport- I appreciate the ones who are finding a niche creating narrative media for us to follow and relate to. It’s definitely good for the sport regardless of whether they make world teams and whether you choose to tune in. :)
