What a farce. Wake me up when this crap is over. When this all stops happening.
Running is beautiful because it's beautiful to discover what your limit really is and what you're capable of achieving. That's what drives people to the sport. These lies destroy everything that makes running exciting.
how come everyone just keeps getting faster and faster suddenly? Kenyans, Ethiopians...
Americans...
When you look at high school and college times for American runners they haven't changed much. Yeah we've got Katelyn Tuohy now, but apart from her, most people who have turned pro have run times that are pretty standard and comparable with their peers from the past.
But now we're seeing absurdly fast pro results. We're just seeing unprecedented progress. Am I really to believe that shoes and training changed things that significantly that times get faster and faster?
Why was the 14:30 barrier in the women's 5K so hard to break, and now it's been shattered by 3 Americans (one serving a ban)?
Why for years did Jenny, who proved herself to be an extraordinary talent when she won an NCAA Title as a college freshman, not really improve much for years and years on her 1500 meter time, and others who never showed Jenny's level of potential can drop seconds off their 1500 time with ease?
Am I really supposed to believe this? Am I just supposed to cheer on athletes running these times that I don't believe at all, otherwise I am a toxic fan?
