Molly Seidel Looks Awfully Slow In Training 2 Months Before Trials, Labouring To Keep Up With Group

I really shouldn't engage, and I am a huge MS slanderer, BUT

Most marathoners looks absolutely atrocious in their build up. You run alot and are really tired. Everything is very unimpressive except lots of consistent work.

If you don't you probably aren't running enough.

Even worse! Molly's video was posted on Dec 31st. With the marathon trials on Feb 3rd, it's not 2 months but only a few weeks before the race! She is screwed!

Not true, Emily Sissons always looks great and has smooth form. And I don't think you can tell the American marathon record holder that she isn't running enough.

Maybe she needs to go somewhere, and she'll come back like Superman. LeBron did it in Miami (the city). Mo Farah did it in Epopia (the third world country). They came back a different athlete. I wonder why. Actually, nevermind. I know why.

How so? The women Molly trains with are not elite marathoners. For Molly to be labouring to keep up with them is in no way a good sign.

Her PB is 2:23:07 when she finished 8th in the Chicago marathon. She also ran the difficult New York marathon in 2:24:42 finishing 4th. So stop acting the fool with false statements just because you obviously do not like her.

This thread is nonsense but there is one thing I am worried about. Since then, none of her runs are being posted on Strava. In the past that often indicates an injury. I sincerely hope not as she is a great candidate to make the US team if she can stay healthy.

How can you say my thread is "nonsense" when you yourself revealed that Molly has stopped posting her runs on Strava and in the past indicates she is injured? You just corroborated what I said about Molly's video showing her as slow and laboured in training.

I don't know why she hasn't been posting her workouts. She has not announced any injuries. But it is a worry. Simple enough? Your post about the video was, I believe nonsense. If it turns out you are right as she was injured, I would call it a real lucky shot and concede you were right. I am not going after you here at all. Only saying I think it was not a valid observation in this case. But boy I would be happy if we hear from her. She had stopped her instragram posts a week or so earlier so this may have nothing to do with her training. And yes, she is fit.

I love Molly. She's so real. She looks how marathon training feels. Can't wait for a hot trials where she hops back on an Olympic team.

I really don't have any interest in the thread topic. I'm just curious how these are examples of a woman's "honesty that rubs some the wrong way."

You get at least a 7/10, maybe an 8.

That's just the way Seidel looks and doesn't mean she's laboring. Her facial expression/eyes usually gives that impression and her form has never been pretty. Flagpole once did a post (not about Seidel) on observing how unfit people hold their hands with palms facing backwards. Seidel is a world-class athlete but does this sometimes while running—part of what makes her form look ungainly.

Why? 2'13 is a great Marathon runner. She is 10 minutes too slow. Thats enough to enjoying breakfast. Why would i care that she is American?
