a girl played NCAA baseball this year. a girl last year played D3 football. another girl kicked for a D1. no one complained about gender roles and how it's all fake and ungodly. no one refused to play them.
why? one of you let slip the real beef here. you don't like the idea of a trans boy beating a girl. this is about wins and losses, not truly consistently policing the gender frontier.
if you've been on here long enough you've watched people complain about the "boy" finishing 65th. they are rarely actually 1st place. so that too is fake.
fwiw men policing who gets to be a girl, while lionizing the few girls who play boys, is par for the course on our "men get to decide" convoluted sexual politics of the day eg abortion.
Just came back from a big Persian wedding with lots of married Muslim couples. Had great long conversations with all of them. Yes, it's anecdotal, but I don't think you know what you're talking about.
Correct. I embarrassingly put my hand out to shake hands & introduce myself to a Muslim mother at parent-teacher conferences about 10 years ago. She declined and looked defiantly at me, saying "I'm married, so I'm not to touch another man."
I felt like shiz. I keep this in mind any time I have an in-person interactions with Muslim parents I work with.
Yes, and all Muslims are exactly the same.
Sometimes I wonder if you people are simply too stup!d to realize how stup!d you sound.
I work and travel extensively in the Middle East, the post-Soviet sphere, and Southeast Asia. If one is in Bosnia or Albania or even Azerbaijan, the societies have large secular Muslim populations and addressing women independent of their husbands is how it would be for many Westerners. But, if I'm in Qatar or UAE, there is a serious gender divide and social conservatism, and I, as a male, would definitely not initiate any physical contact with the opposite sex.
So, yes, there are definitely profound differences among Muslim populations in the world.
You expect your daughter to compete against and lose to biological males? How is she supposed to keep a healthy self esteem by systematically losing out to cheaters?
How do you know this team would lose? Yeah, they knew, that's why they decided to give up.
It never ceases to amaze how blatant some of the guys on LRC are when it comes to expressing callous disregard and downright contempt for girls and women (the female kind).
On this thread, two grown men have seen fit to slag off the girls on the team that forfeited in this case for “giving up” - and one claims to be the father of daughters.
The problem in the case of this story is that the adults in charge of school sports in CA have put in place policies that require female students to forfeit their right to fairness and safety in girls’ school sports competition - and lose their right to safety, privacy, dignity, comfort, convenience and peace of mind in the girls’ locker rooms and toilets - all for the benefit of male students who’ve adopted, or say they’ve adopted, an opposite-sex “gender identity.”
But rather than address that, it’s much easier to for some men to say that the real problem in this case is the girls “decided to give up.”
I hope one of the blokes slagging off the girls on this HS basketball team for supposedly chickening out in this case will do the rest of us a favor by answering these questions:
How are HS girls affected by being forced without their consent - and against their will - to undress in front of a teenage male HS student in the girls' locker room before and after games?
Does having to undress in front of a teenage male HS student in the girls' locker room - and being at risk of a teenage male flashing "her" dick and balls at them and using "her" male body to intimidate or push them around - benefit HS girls? If so, how?
Specifically, does having to undress in front of a male teenage HS student - and having to contend with the risk of sexual harassment and intimidation by a male teenage HS student - in the girls' locker room before a game/meet put female HS student athletes in the best frame of mind for giving their all and performing at their peak during the competition?
How does a HS girls' basketball team consisting solely of female players benefit from being forced to compete on the court against another supposed girls' HS team which has a teenage male athlete on it?

Your party believes that men can get pregnant. So what's the problem with men voting on abortion?
Trans people give birth. Gender non-conforming people give birth. I identify as a mother, but not every person who gives birth identifies as one.
Everything I do is rooted in love, a love that means that everyone’s identity is respected, welcomed, and celebrated.

If locker room is the issue, they could have just asked for an arrangement so that they would not have the share the locker room with the other team, instead of forfeiting the game itself. And how common is it for a trans girl to show her naked body to other girls? This trans girl says she would go to the corner and change in isolation.
Inside the struggles and choices facing transgender kids and their families, in an era where they have more medical options than ever before. This journalism...
As for the game itself, how do you know whether this trans player is any good? Someone posted above a case in Vermont last year. The team with a trans player lost in the second round of play-off after their first round opponent forfeited the game. I am sure all the girls on that winning team are glad they played the game.
Jordan Campbell, the captain of the girls’ volleyball team at Monarch High School, told NBC6 on Wednesday that she’s worried about her teammate and that she ...
Good for them. This whole transgender thing has gotten out of control. Freaks with obvious mental disorders disrupt the lives of normal well rounded people.

Will you just accept the fact that you have been destroyed on this issue? All of this junk you keep posting does not help you, but instead adds to your mountain of intellectually shallow posts. And now, I am also beginning to question your morality with comments such as, "how common is it anyway" suggesting that horrendous acts are only bad when they occur at a certain frequency. Let's all look the other way until it happens X amount of times.

If some individuals behave badly, then punish those individuals not the entire group of people they belong to. I don't support "guilt by association" but apparently you do.
How intimidated do these girls look? Are they threatened by their teammate?

What amazed me most about the gender nonsense of this generation is just how easily the belief that it’s legit spread among people old enough to have been raised with the correct information on this stuff. Gender crap was still a joke in 2010, so most of society was educated early enough to know better. I don’t think this politician and others like her are just pandering for votes either, they legitimately believe this stuff and believed it so fast, that even they haven’t had time to read the “true” new science of it, despite accusing everyone else of same.

You're a total IDIOT!
If you want to post your opinion please have a point and make sense. Try to know the relevance of the conversation. Clearly you don't have the mental bandwidth to participate in a meaningful discussion.
for starters, when you go around calling people idiots (who actually have a point), hmmm, maybe you aren't the sweetheart defenders of what is pure and good in the world.
i mean, if you're gonna expose the angry, violent part, i am going to point out the nazis used to love to print stories about every negative thing gay and jewish people did, which they used as their excuse to do the evil things it later became.
I was wondering how a school in SF actually stood up for the truth. Even the Catholic schools in the Bay Area are super woke. Now it makes sense, it's a Muslim school, they're actually able to stand up for their beliefs. Good for them.
I agree That is why I like leaders like Prince MBS of Saudi Arabia, Putin of Russia and Kadyrov of Chechnya unlike Most/All of Politicians in the USA and most Western Nations, They were somehow Courageous enough to stand by their Morals, Principles and Ethics in Spite of Maybe being called Racist, Homophobic, Transphobic and also face huge protest in their Country organized by LGBTQ Organizations
A lot of people hate these leaders, but give them props for standing for what they believe, even though what they believe is unpopular with most people.
