Russian athletes were generally not banned and could compete under neutral colors. It was their national federation and their national anti-doping agency and their Moscow lab which were banned.

Hi Hoady - what point are you actually trying to make? 4 million Czech women roiding in the Soviet era, competing in 150 different sports at world class level, were slower at distance running than 25 million EPO, SARM, and rat poison fuelled Kenyan women competing today in one sport - distance running? And what does this prove exactly? That Czech women have neanderthal dna slowing them down?

Slower? Just marginally: 3 minutes 14.71 seconds in the 10000m, 19 minutes 15 seconds in the Marathon

@Coevett, clearly you have a personal issue or problem with Kenyans and Kenya.That has come out clearly on this forum. In my view I think you should vilify individuals and not taint a whole country. I personally think you have crossed the line there but anyway its upto the moderators on this forum and the government of Kenya to call you out, but I think you have crossed the line.Others have pointed it out on other threads on this forum. I have always chosen to ignore you.I think individuals must be held to account on doping issues and NOT taint a country unless there is clear evidence of the particular state aiding and abetting the same. I think majority of Kenyan athletes work very hard.You just need to visit Iten,Eldoret ,Nyahururu and many other places to see the sheer numbers of ordinary Kenyans training hard day in day out.They also have a long tradition and many role models to emulate in the last 70 years or so.The climate,terrain,altitude,their way of living and the attitude of resilience works seamlessly in their favour.Anyway I reckon individuals must always be held to account.
It’s not gonna change as long as Kenya is a 2k a year income per capita country.
They have very little to lose. Worst case scenario they get caught and have to live the life they otherwise wound’ve lived without running. Nobody cares.
